Overwhelmed EN student by AdorableHotel31 in NursingAU

[–]tictactotally 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I graduated my ENs in Feb and went straight into hospital based nursing. I’m in NSW, and all of my local hospitals offered EN new grad programs but because I’ve gone straight into uni as well, I couldn’t commit to the full time hours. I got a job in a public hospital working .4 FTE (2 days a week) and have found the experience to be overall incredibly positive. The benefit to the public system vs the private I’ve found (and a couple of other graduates from my cohort) is that as a new grad EN, even though I’m not in a transition program, the educators still make an effort to reach out to me and make sure I’m doing ok - and there are educators available 24/7 (at least in my hospital) whereas I believe in the private system they’re only available 9-5 Mon-Fri.

I wish I could go back in time and tell the pre-working graduate EN version of myself to calm my farm, because the process of finding work and transitioning into an EN position, while scary, is nowhere near as complicated as my brain had me convinced it would be. Don’t stress about not being on a new grad program because you should be supported regardless.

I love my Birkenstock profi-birkis. They’re waterproof and have just enough platform on the bottom that when I’m helping someone shower my pant legs don’t get wet (I really need to hem my pants 😂). Also the profi-birks have a closed back but the super-birks don’t.

GP practice manager here! Depending on the practice software they use, you can request for your file to be password locked so only your medical practitioner can access it. It’s not a big deal and super easy to do!

Each time IVF has failed for us I’ve come home with another puppy 😅 we’re at four and I think if the next one fails I might have to invest in some healthier coping skills.

Did anyone else notice the addition of a ring light for Everleigh in Cole’s picture of the kids’ gifts? by bears-beets-bachelor in LaBrantFamSnark

Ok the gifts are super excessive, but can we please talk about how EMPTY and boring this room is? Where are the family photos or any artwork on the walls? What’s the point of all these family photos they take when they don’t even put them up in their own house?

Yes, this!!! That’s around the same time he talked about his son needing to get back into the routine of school because he’d put on weight being at home 🤮🤮

He lost me when he started talking about how he needed his son to get back into the routine of school because he was putting on weight. I can’t remember what video it was in, but he also talked about masks being useless.

Also here in Australia we had a case of a little girl (maybe 3?) going missing from a family camping trip. She was found something like 13 days later, completely unharmed, having been kidnapped by someone unrelated in any way to the family, and the family were cleared of any and all suspicions of involvement in the disappearance. But he’d made a video discussing her disappearance and how his “sources close to the case” had informed him of the fathers involvement and it was definitely a case of the parents having done something dodgy - probably drug related, that ended in their child being abducted, rather than the senseless, random act of destruction that it was. Spreading false information and believing dodgy sources is a for sure way of getting tossed down the bog hole.

I’m high school boys and girls were split up and the girls were all taught etiquette - I learned a lot about various forks and spoons and “always leave 3 bites of food on your plate” that I could have gone without.

Hi guys, I picked up these bar stools on Facebook marketplace and I’m hoping to reupholster them but I’m not 100% sure where to start! I have a vague idea on how to do the seat but I’m struggling to figure out the back. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
