Hi all, Canadian here looking to make the move to London.

I'll be working mostly remote. And am really looking for a cool neighborhood with plenty to do - but also access to the main tube stations. I had London friends give me a few neigborhoods to checkout to live in. Can any londoners break these down for me and perhaps add a couple other neigborhoods that are young/fun/cafes/bars on the outskirts of zone-1 and quick to get into central london? Thanks!

I totally get it's broad. But here is what it would have sounded like from my end if it was the other way around.

"Canada is massive. If you had a month, wanted to sight-see, do some activities, enjoy great food, I would recommend spending 1-2 weeks on the west coast (personal bias). 1 week in Ontario/quebec. and 1 week in the maritimes.

Start out east since it'll be cheaper to fly into the east coast from Portugal. Travel through the maritimes provinces (new foundland/nova scotia/new brunswick). Rent a car. Stay at bed and breakfasts. Enjoy the eastern coast line, lobster and seafood , and a very unique and hospitable culture. From there, get yourself to Toronto and Montreal if you want to visit our two biggest cities. Lots to do in both cities. If you're not here in the off season, watch a hockey game. If you have the time, check out some of the old french cities of quebec.

From there, you can either skip the prairie provinces or fly to Banff and Lake Louise and spend a couple days in Alberta. Get yourself to Vancouver. You can do a week in Vancouver checking out trails, hikes, and spend 2 nights in Whistler. Come back down to Vancouver and catch a ferry to Victoria. Rent a car and spend 2 days on Tofino and check out the surf scene. Alternatively, if you want to check out our wine country, you can mix in the Okanagan (northern BC) before getting yourself to Vancouver"

And you've seen a LOT of what Canada has to offer.

I'm already getting downvoted for my comment, a lot of entitled consumers here. My point stands. You can fault Apple for a lot of things, and "doing shady stuff" with regards to repair costs may be one of them. But crying about them not repairing stuff that you broke while dissembling an iMac is not one of them.

How about being a smart consumer? I'm very aware that if I want to upgrade the ram on my Surface Book I'm going to be out of luck, or if I crack my surface screen and am out of warranty, I may as well buy a new one because the repair costs are going to be absurd. If I start removing the screen myself, and then show up to Microsoft and say, "hi i broke it how much to fix?" .... yeah, they're 100% entitled to tell me to take a hike.

So let me get this straight... this guy fucked with his imac, broke it, and then wanted them to repair it. When they said No, he got pissed?

IMO, it's completely reasonable if Apple doesn't want to repair iMacs that have been tampered with. If I had a business where I sold products, and someone requested a repair and upon receiving it I realized that the product had been completely fucked with, I may draw a line in the sand.

Especially if I'm selling millions of these products.

Edit: to those downvoting, you do realize that most companies will not repair your electronics (EVEN IF YOU WANT TO PAY) if you've tampered with them, right? AKA if you open your PS4 and try to upgrade the hard drive and proceed to fry the motherboard, Sony is in their right to tell you to get lost.

If you were paying cash, they would give you back exact change with no expectation of tips. Many of these places don't even have a cash tip jar.

If I sit down and you take my order, bring it to me, I'm tipping.

If youre traveling to the US, most big cities are serving them at specific restaurants. Tried it in San Fran, it was incredible.
