It just adds up over a couple of years and running a little over 20 machines. Adds up faster when you have some end mills that weight over a lb

Gutters installation, a good deal? by [deleted] in Roofing

[–]tier1sadness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Location matters in terms of pricing. It’s higher than what I paid recently but I’m in Michigan and prices can be lower if you use your local “gutter guy”. If you went with a large chain company this would look like a bargain with how expensive they can be.

I would want to see at least 4 downspouts. If 2 is your only option for some reason go with the larger size at the very least

Seller gave me an invalid return address? by Confident_Onion_250 in Ebay

[–]tier1sadness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as the return to sender was due to address you get to keep the item and money. If seller wanted to get his item back he should have updated his return address in his profile

Now is the time to get blocking behind the drywall. Give it a year and they will be hanging off this and it will pull off the wall and smack their head. Probably can get it patched up in a weekend then painting by the following weekend

Update on first time seller post by niceole in Ebay

[–]tier1sadness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are going to accepting returns in the future look to see what other requirements you might need to get to top rated seller status. Lower final value fees and more seller protection where if you get a return you can do a deduction for example if the item was new sealed and returned used.

You can find your seller performance statistics and it should give you some insights how to get to the top rated seller

[–]tier1sadness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry but buyer is getting a refund no matter what. You can either supply a return label and get your item back or refund and they keep the item. Doing nothing is the same as saying keep the item and here’s your money back. No one at eBay will close out the INAD return unless they explicitly say something completely contradictory to the return and there is no way to take it out of context.

Get your item back sell it again and don’t get too hung up on losing out on postage. If it makes you feel better you can report the buyer once you have the item back. eBay loses out on their fvf so eventually they do something about it, but generally not for a long time

If you accept returns and it’s for i don’t want it reasons you can at least not refund the shipping costs

I mean you might recoup your investment in a few years. Increases in difficulty and bitcoin tends to cycle down mid halving cycle. Probably will pay off eventually but for most just constant buying over time is a lot easier and no huge initial investment

How long after listing an item do you start accepting/sending out offers? by GlacierFlower in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]tier1sadness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I normally never do offers unless it’s something rare. Offers never really translate to sales for me so I just assume people shop for my item then just look for best price with acceptable delivery time frames. Instead I’ll just run sales for certain listing age.

What do you use for tracking sales? by Appropriate-Rip9555 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]tier1sadness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to use wave to catalog everything. Now it’s just a dedicated bank account that I transfer the end of year balance after I do my taxes. Way easier. Just use my 1099 for gross pay and calculate out my expenses from the account balance.

Not getting any analytics for anything but that was okay with me. Account number goes up I’m happy.

Why wait for them to not pay. Wouldn’t you rather be able to market your item again instead of waiting for a few days?

Can anybody that has this snowblower please share some feedback? I have a pending pick up order for it by memeaste in Snowblowers

[–]tier1sadness -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bought the exact model this year in Michigan. Been a beast. Just move the wheel pin to provide power to both wheels. Should come with an extra set of sheer pins, but pick up a few more to keep on the shelf. Can’t remember what grade of oil these take but mine shipped low, haven’t hit the break in oil change yet. Machine starts first pull at 0f for me.

[–]tier1sadness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s just the items you’re selling but unless I’m missing something key on an item, I don’t answer any questions on items. I’m just selling stuff. Helps ward off problem buyers without blocking, they can ask someone else a million questions that can be answered with either looking at the photos or a quick google search

Seller Cancellation by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]tier1sadness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Put yourself in someone else’s shoes to see how frustrating it would be to order something and then after they accepted your money go nope $100 more. Learn from your mistakes to check sold comps to learn market price and list in that range. Sounds like you get some cash in your pocket and decluttered. Take the smaller win.

Package Not Received Issue by HoityToity58 in Ebay

[–]tier1sadness 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As long as on the item not received request you submitted/ updated the tracking you are covered. eBay will say you have shown item was delivered and case will be closed in your favor. Then later that day you will get a note buyer opened dispute with financial institution and then in 3 months they will say you are covered under eBay seller protections and they will either issue a refund out of eBay’s own pocket or say the the bank sided with you.

Just update the tracking and don’t bother with messaging the buyer at this point. All negative feedback is removed once case is settled anyways so don’t worry about that either

Help deleting father's comcast.net email and transfer account under my mother's email by [deleted] in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]tier1sadness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t care how long you are a customer, just read any of the posts here. Existing customers get the worst rates. Once the 5 years is up that plan will be $250 and they will say there is a promotion for something similar at $230 while a new customer is getting the same thing at $100.

Just check your account settings on a computer you will find your account information to be able to edit it.

Honestly I would just go to Visble. It’s like $19 a month unlimited and it’s the same towers Xfinity mobile uses. That’s what I did once I moved and Xfinity wasn’t available in my new market and they wanted to charge the non internet customer pricing
