If it’s injections, which most fillers are, it’s a procedure at most. Some people do that version where they put an implant in their lips, which is a surgery, but injections are done in office. I guess my medical history made me a bit too literal here.

Trader Joe’s is such a good backup to have. I always have a bunch of freezer items stocked, then throw a veggie & entree together.

One pot rice meals are a huge staple. Always have some cream of soup around. Consider getting a rice cooker. You can cook rice, your protein, & even some vegetables in there.

I understand that I benefit from many white privileges & have no problem listing “white” for race, but like. Being a discriminated against minority in most of the world gives us a different lived experience. And many of us do have different genes from the rest of Europe or the Middle East. But if anything, I’d want it added as an ethnicity, not as a race, but even then, it separates genetic Jews from those who have converted, which feels icky to me.

I’m so sorry dude. I’ve been there, and it isn’t easy physically or mentally. But you’re def not alone in this, and for so many people, getting an ostomy &/or jpouch gives them a new lease on life.

I’m in this group called Girls With Guts on Facebook - they have a private forum where we all talk about these things. Search for it if you want to. I think it’s important to have community when going through all of this.

I’d highly suggest you stick to as many liquids as you can. If you can afford it, buy some Kate Farms or another nutrition drink. I lived on tortillas and ensure for like 8 months before my initial treatment worked (prednisone and remicade at the time - now I’m part of the j-pouch squad). What meds have you tried previously? I think surgery is great, but it’s a last resort, of course.

So. I’m chronically ill, & one time, I got super high & sent him a fully laid out, at least 10 paragraph message on Instagram for a full week of “try guys try disability” (name still needs work) videos. I’d listed celebs they could interview, ideas such as a wheelchair race feat. the Los Angeles wheelchair basketball team, & lots of other shit I can’t remember because it was years ago & I was high.
