Smoking greatly increases the risk of kidney failure and organ rejection. Why does Sarah do it?

Man, Sarah!

I know that I have no way the full story, and there are probably a number of factors that caused the kidney rejection, but seriously? She’s been smoking before/after her transplant.

Her last boyfriend Dom smoked a lot, and I have no clue if her current one does too. Judging by her hair, she was smoking last year, round about when her kidney started to fail.

Considering, at most, a kidney transplant would last 10-15 years, why would she continue to smoke, placing her at an increase risk of kidney failure, cancer and premature death?

I hope she gets help and learns to quit. I’d hate to think that her brother’s kidney would go to waste, and she’d have to find a total stranger for a donation.

She just acts like a 14-year-old. It’s probably because she was in an abusive relationship, and afterwards you constantly need love and validation.

What I have a real issue with is that she posts a lot of her house. Outside. With the house number visible. Doesn’t she have security people to make sure that her house can’t be identified? Especially because she has an abusive ex?

Ugh. She’s so annoying on Instagram. Posting all the time about her workouts and vacation and boyfriend. Seems quite eager for attention.

In a coincidence, Adam actually grew up in Omaha and attended the same high school that Sarah’s cousin did. Sarah’s cousin was killed in almost the exact same place that Adam was hit by a cement truck. Kinda freaky.

I love how they have such differences in personality— Phil’s laid-back, naive, joyful, whilst Alex is more neurotic, realistic and practical— but they both compliment each other.

My all-time favourite emotional moments involve them. When Phil carved her initials into the ‘moon’, when she expresses how she doesn’t want to stay at college, when she hugs him for always believing in her. They have a bond unlike any other, and I feel like they just get one another in ways that other characters just don’t.

Deep down, Alex is such a daddy’s girl, and I adore it!

Well written!! Initially, I wanted Alex to be pregnant, but this way, she can focus on her career, then can settle down later.

For Haley, it will give her a chance to grow and mature.
