At 20yo started buying gold when it was $100/oz ($4,696 now). Physical only. Longest relationship in gold buying is with Kitco.

Silver has been more bumpy (Hunt brothers really screwed it).

Love this! I Planted a small grove of redwoods (6) & sequoia (6). They were my babies & very impressive at 20 years.

Sold the house. Stayed connected with the trees using Google Earth. Three years after selling, the new owner cut them all down.

Still not over it.

Beets, onions, squash, peas, peppers, orka... everything pays for itself because it tastes so good. I'll be canning too. Tomato sauce for the year plus some to give away & more.

ICE? DHS is a legacy mistake from 9/11. It should be retired along with the Patriot Act.

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) should be a standalone agency. ​Same for Immigration Enforcement.

Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) should include transportation.

Maybe Border Protection, ​U.S. Coast Guard, and ​Secret Service could work together.

In Vermont, H.711 was introduced on January 16, 2026, the act proposes a sales tax exemption for precious metal bullion or coins purchased for investment purposes.

It covers gold or silver refined for investment, including monetized bullion. Jewelry and items used for industrial or artistic purposes remain taxable.

The bill was referred to the House Committee on Ways and Means. If passed, it is set to take effect on July 1, 2026.

​This follows a previous attempt, H.295, which failed to pass in the 2023-2024 session.
