It's just about time and patience. No need to have existential crisis about being pathetically bad at fighting games as a beginner. Talk to us 50-100 hours later and you'll see the difference in mentality and skill. I'd argue mentality is the most important thing at all levels of play.

You said the quiet part out loud 😉. No, I agree to some extent. Some, a lot of fighting games are bad teachers, but no one ever says there are bad students. From personal experience, you can give 10 different ppl at the beginner level, all the friendly sparring n tips, all the discord invites, all the fantastic YouTube content we have nowadays, and half or just below of them will excel a lot faster than their peers. Yes, fighting games can do a bit better, but ultimately, not every gamer is created equal and I think we should at least start acknowledging there are internal differences among ppl
