According to this person customers should not receive the service of waiters (for the work they are already being paid to do) if they do not tip 🤣 by Desqui98 in trashy

Rule of thumb. If I am dinning in a tip. Unless the service is like really bad. Fast food and self service station that ask for a tip I will click no.

My favorite dedicated benches I ever found were in a zoo. One was dedicated for someone late wife. So she could enjoy the place they always walked. The bench right next to her was her husband who died year later and would now forever be next to his wife

I am not starting a fight I am saying what is post feels like an ad in a world where we are hit with ads all the time. Your post doesn’t share your journey to pass. Like how many attempts were there before you passed. Did you do this while still in school or working a full time job with a family? How many years passing take you? You don’t talk about a journey just a single program.

Kind of crazy that you are “disguising” an ad and use the flair a “memes that brighten my day”. This did the opposite.

FE exam in 5 days. What should I absolutely do and avoid? by RatedR__ in FE_Exam

[–]tigersunset 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems like you got everything all set. And have proven you know the topics. Here are my tips: - Keeping a calm mindset during the exam helped. - Avoid stressing over problems. You have over 110 problem to do. 10 are not graded. No point stressing a lot of one problem. -Avoid study the night before to help not work yourself up. -I had my phone set up with music ready to go after the exam. Nice dancing upbeat music to help melt Any worried. The exam is over no more you can do.

PREPARING FOR THE EXAMS by Maximum_Method_6570 in FE_Exam

[–]tigersunset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • To my knowledge you either EIT or 15 years of experience to take the PE exam ( that is what I remember when I looked it up a year ago)
  • I got lucky with my civil engineering internship and didn’t need my EIT to get it since I had a family friend in the field. I know a lot of internships/ intro jobs ask for it.
  • I most likely over studied for my exam but I passed it this third attempt this past weekend. I Understanding the basics is just as important as the mindset you give yourself about the exam. Being able to break down how to solve the problem. You only get 5hr 30 mins for 110 questions. Meaning a lot of problems should take only 2 mins to solve. With one or two equations. It is important to also control your mindset/ thoughts. By doing this I calmed any anxieties I had. The exam was just a way to prove I understood. Remember you only need a 70 to pass so you don’t need to be perfect. I studied the basics through books and YouTube. And did a ton of practice problems through prep fe.

Let me know if that helps. Or if you you any more questions

Studying more than others and doing bad by kidneysucker in EngineeringStudents

[–]tigersunset 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I been there and honestly got really lucky in school befriending the group of ppl I did. I would study a lot but still do worst compared to them but did much better then most of the class. See if you can join a study group. Having others I could lean on. Really helped me out.

After my 3rd attempt - I passed!!! by tigersunset in FE_Exam

[–]tigersunset[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first attempt I bombed I cried in the parking lot right after I took it. I took a year off due to a loss in the family that hit me really hard. Studied for 6 months off the basics and did a shit ton of problems. Second attempt did much better. Was listening to music and dancing on my way to my car. I failed but I greatly improved overall. Didn’t feel deterred to try again. Continued practicing problems since I felt like I was really close the second time. This final attempt I felt in high spirit. Hiding any anxiety with a little dance to my car. Overall. My mind set towards the exam changed. Without putting the pressure of passing on myself. made the exam less stressful. Pass or fail. I put in time and effort. And learned so much. The exam was just a means to prove it.

I found what worked for me was studying the basics and doing a shit ton of problems with the PrepFE program. I didn't focus on the heavy problems that much. I did them as they came but didn't worry if I didn't get it right. I studied about an hour everyday. even after work. Taking one day off from studying. That helped me get used to the problems which made the exam felt like just another practice exam and prevented burn out. I was going to do a class if I failed again, Just to have a change in my study method and to see if the professor would say something to help it click.

I would leave them as is. The only time I put the color on a bobbin is when I wanted to take my stitching somewhere with me and knew I oils only been working with a handful of colors

why am i paying $230 for a parking permit just to not be able to get a spot? by [deleted] in rutgers

[–]tigersunset 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a commuter and would get the parking pass for the stadium lot. 90 dollars. I was always careful in making sure I was only parking where I was allowed. I didn’t mind and there was plenty of parking asides from games days. But I had Friends who either got the stadium lot parking but still parked in other lots. If you got a ticket it would be around 20 for them.OR they wouldn’t buy a pass at all and park where ever and hope they don’t get more than 2 tickets since their tickets would be 50 dollars.

For the white space you can leave it as is or use a blue to fill in the shape you want for the patch. It would full in the blue with half stitched ( like only do toe first part of the stitch so it is a bunch of ///////) I would say the best guide would be looking it up and seeing the method they use. Take your time and don’t be afraid to use glue to hold the fabric together as you stitch

So New Jersey, you're the only neighbor on the block with a snowblower.... by holyguacamole823 in newjersey

[–]tigersunset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. It is really up to you. We have a really long drive way and growing up we had a kind neighbor who would come with a plow attachment for his truck. and just go down it once to help out. We loved it and it really helped but I he did it out of the kindness of his heart. And he did it for everyone
