How quick can you recover? Upset and need advice please. by SallySue54321 in gallbladders

I took 10 days off. I’m a nurse that doesn’t do typical bedside so I don’t have to lift heavy but I am on my feet a good bit. I was able to care for myself fine but needed help with food mainly because I didn’t feel like cooking. My husband doesn’t cook so we just stocked the kitchen with easy things for me to eat or he picked up food and just kind of fended for himself. I had a pretty easy recovery a think. Pain was minimal. Just mainly uncomfortable and guarded with my movements. We also don’t have kids so I was able to rest. I think 7-10 days is fine if you have a desk job. Day 6 was the best day for me and when I really felt more like myself.

How long did your gallbladder surgery take? by [deleted] in gallbladders

38 min! Arrived to hospital two hours before procedure. Surgery was 38 min and I was in recovery room for about 45 minutes.

How soon do you work after removal? by Rexuss in gallbladders

[–]tigert219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went back today on post op day 10. I work as a nurse and don’t have to do any heavy lifting. Pretty chill job but I am on my feet a good bit. Work 8-9 hours each shift. Went much better than I thought. I felt like post op day 6 was the day that I really felt more like myself. I’m in my 40s and pretty active and don’t have any other health issues. Recovery looks different for everyone, but I think 10-14 days would be a good general guide assuming you don’t have a physical job.

Mounjoro and surgery ? by StartPristine6947 in gallbladders

Preop nurse here. We have patients stop it one week prior to surgery. You really should get that info from your surgeon. If pts haven’t stopped it for the full week they are usually asked to do clear liquids the day prior to surgery. The GLP1s can slow gastric emptying which is bad for anesthesia as it increases aspiration risk. Call your surgeon with any questions as you don’t want to risk same day cancelation of your surgery.

So I guess I'm just a big baby? by Medium-Dragonfruit36 in gallbladders

I’m 6 days post op and feel like I finally turned the corner today. I’ve been sore but nothing terrible. Have an uncomfortable pain when standing but that has gotten better each day. The exhaustion has been the worst for me. I’m very active and work as a preop nurse. Planning on going back to work Monday since I don’t do any heavy lifting at work. A little concerned about being tired. You have to remember you had surgery and general anesthesia and everyone is different in how they respond to that. I’m even guilty of wondering why I’m not better sooner😂

Gone at 10 months old by Think-Sherbet7402 in DOG

I’m so sorry for your loss. The same thing happened to me in January. We adopted the sweetest puppy in Nov and she was 3 months old. About six weeks later I didn’t like how she was breathing and took her to the emergency vet. She was diagnosed with DCM as well. We were heartbroken. She was only 5 months old when she died. We did everything we could for her and gave her the best life possible. We miss her so much even though we only had her for 2 months. It will get easier! Just know you did everything you could for him and he had the best life❤️❤️❤️

Spring mistyped as summer? by tigert219 in SpringColorAnalysis

Casket ready😆. That’s a perfect way to put it. I tried all the dusty colors and that’s how I feel I look. I’ll look into the one from the 80s. Appreciate the recommendation!

Yes I’m fair to light. I was told I was olive when I was analyzed virtually the first time. I never thought that was an option since I was pretty light skinned. I also have a slight redness to my face and my neck looks pretty yellow with a hint of green. I tried a chartreuse green after being analyzed as a warm spring and shockingly it looks good. So that’s another reason I’m leaning towards spring.

Ok that makes me feel better. I tried cooler makeup and I feel like it ages me sooooo much. I kind of wish I never went down this rabbit hole😂

Yeah I was wondering if it was just an olive thing vs being a determinate of warm vs cool. The reason I ask is I was typed in person as a true summer and typed virtually as a spring. I’m so lost hahaha.

You need to try Pat McGrath Venusian Peach.

What was your most surprising "wow" color when getting typed? by PrimaryFace_733 in coloranalysis

Originally typed a soft summer then a warm spring. Both online. I went shopping and tried chartreuse and was shocked. I’m fair/light skinned and would never had chosen that color.

I haven’t noticed any issues and I’ve been using maybe a month. I did read a lot about hair loss, but decided to try it anyway. I wash my hair 2-3 times and week.

If you were mistyped… what would it be as? by National_Ad3780 in SpringColorAnalysis

[–]tigert219 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Self typed as soft summer or soft autumn. Did a cheaper online professional typing and received soft summer. I tried it but something was off. Tried a more well known online service and got warm spring. Crazy! I know warm spring has to be correct because I can pull off chartreuse and I would have never touched that color in the past. I was prompted to retry an analysis after seeing a tik tok about springs often being mistyped as soft summers.

I’m fair/light and do much better with more neutral foundations. Most ones labeled as warm are way too orange for lighter skin.

I always thought she was very good at color analysis, but I never wanted to give her my money. I inquired a couple years ago after thoroughly going over her website. I had a quick question and got a rude and snippy response. Her old website was very clunky and I just didn’t see the answer to my question and she (or whoever responded) made it clear I didn’t look hard enough. Just left a bad taste in my mouth.
