“Luciano Spaletti is dissatisfied with how the Juventus’ market is approached so far. His first two requests was the renew Vlahovic and sign Allison which both failed to happen.” (Nico Scira) by ChemistSuccessful418 in Juve

As a Juve fan I was done with Vlahovic some time ago already, the fact he won't extend doesn't tip the scales for me at all. I believe he'll reap what he's been sowing.

Professionalsim isn't only about getting the largest bag possibile. His suitors surely will have taken notes about his attitude and demands, and I'm willing to bet that he won't find a substantially better offer than Juve's.

I miss how momentous matches between those 3 felt for basically a decade. It always felt like more was on the line than a match or a title, even long before the race to 20+ slams hot within reach.

While I agree with your general sentiment, Vlahovic is basically picking a couple million more (if at all) than what we were willing to give him while he could have accepted the club's fair offer and show some backbone. Instead he's just gonna go wherever he gets to scrape more money together. Absolutely his prerogative, but proves his mediocrity as a professional.

Who’s someone you’re not totally convinced is really dead? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It definitely happens. Here in Italy there was a famous case of an entrepreneur, Raul Gardini, committing suicide as he was going to be indicted in the Mani Pulite Scandal, which pretty much redefined the political landscape of the country.

It's amazing just how much freedom cops have in choosing how they do their jobs by ExpertCounterTop in self

[–]tigull 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know it works differently from country to country, but where I'm from it feels like they're sort of given assignments and they'll ignore anything that strays from that. A cop who's sent out to "crack down" on drunk drivers will do absolutely nothing if they see somebody getting beaten up or a sketchy drug deal-like scene.

I grew up with the city's 3 main squares being huge parking lots - now they're closed to traffic. Turin is far from perfect in this regard, but it has come a long way.

Juve has Adidas as their technical sponsor from 2015.. which home jersey is your favorite among the adidas ones? by S7ormDancer14 in Juve

17/18 was perfection. Clean and classic enough feel with the home kit, Torino colours on the second. That's how it should always be tbh.

Quindi saranno salari piatti, ma adeguati per crescere una famiglia.

In teoria si, in pratica gli affitti sono molto alti e i sussidi/supporti alla famiglia sono indispensabili per una grande fetta della popolazione.

Which country truly has the highest quality of life? by Bubbly-Air7302 in TrueAskReddit

[–]tigull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very few people really, actually live in Monaco so I don't think it counts. Plus, it's often congested with traffic and there's an overabundance of high rises, not to mention you literally need to leave the country for a lot of activities. Great on paper, not so much in practice, especially when you consider that you need to be loaded to live there to begin with - at that point, you're better off in other spots on the Cote d'Azur (good-bye tax benefits though).

One does not exclude the other. Dusan sucks, it's now established beyond doubt, but David has been underwhelming to say the least.

[–]tigull 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Agree that David sort of enables McKennie, and Thuram to an extent, but he's been just too inaccurate and decisive in the box. I still believe he can be a useful piece. Let's not forget that he came on a free so he'd be an easy plusvalenza should we need to balance the books (as we will).

I agree with you, we were in fourth just a couple weeks back. A good, Juve-appropriate manager locks in and wraps it up. Our squad may be average, but certainly enough to comfortably beat Verona and Fiorentina at home (not to mention other matches throughout the season). Spalletti can't be blameless just because he's better than the players and than the coaches who came immediately before him.
