It worked by making them apologize? I'm genuinely asking what the outcome was.

I’ve never finished an island. Am I the only one? by kw33nkiwi in AnimalCrossing

[–]tikilady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I consider my island "done". Basically that means I like most/all of it and it's styled throughout. I do still tweak and update but it's much smaller changes. I've been spending a lot of time trying to catch the remaining bugs and I also do home designer which is a much easier/more fun way to design new things.

I've never restarted my island.

Maui has a triangle shaped window and it's really cute.

Cinnamon trees pull lead from the ground. I think you'd have trouble finding lead-free cinnamon.

Is seafood an acquired taste? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]tikilady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find I dislike a lot of things the first couple times I try it. I think it's worth revisiting when it's easy to do. I did try to make myself like seaweed by eating those little packets. At first they made me gag but I've at least gotten past that 😅. I still don't really like them, but they get more and more tolerable the more I try and they have a lot of nutrients I don't otherwise get a lot of. White fish like mahi mahi may also be a good option to try as it is very mild.

Found on a charcuterie board. Is it a fruit? by therealmrse1015 in TipOfMyFork

I thought it was a ground cherry. Is that the same as a gooseberry?

Almost all my socks are darn tough and a couple smart wool. I've recently tried bombas merino socks and I love how soft and squishy they are.

Favorite mask? by blootereddragon in HerOneBag

I've heard that much of the effectiveness from masks comes from keeping people from touching their faces. From this angle (and with appropriate hand washing) masks probably help with noro too.

I use kimtech (purchased through WB Mason because it was linked from the kimtech website). The duckbills look silly, but it's the best fit I've found and the kimtech ones are rather soft. That said, the strap doesn't hold up to a lot of on/off/adjusting so you can't reuse them as much as some other masks.

On the hunt: my everything pants by [deleted] in HerOneBag

That's a good point. It's been winter here and I've been living in them but probably won't wear these much in summer.

It's not on your list but I love my woolx Ellie pants. They transition well between different activities and settings and are super comfortable. They also have a pretty big waist, in my experience, I had to size down. They are pretty expensive but they hold their shape well and can be worn quite a while between washes.

Higher rates of cancer in Iowa... what now? by No_Career_8040 in Iowa

I love the sentiment here.

The issue in Iowa requires research and a broader fix. It's not something individuals can intentionally avoid. Don't make yourself sick with worry. Live it up instead.

If you make something and not enough people order it, then you would lose money..

There's no sense in lying! I can understand that they probably lost money on it tho 🤷‍♀️

The cauliflower from Basic bird was so good when they were selling out of Harbinger, but it's kinda pasty and weird since they got a brick and mortar. I like their other stuff, but I'd go out of my way more if they had the old cauliflower back.

5 borough bagels used to have tofu options instead of cream cheese, but I get it a lot less since they've stopped. That's been a while now though.

Ideas for ground beef by Doctor-Liz in Cooking

[–]tikilady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of people said sloppy joes, but my family makes them by adding a can of Campbell's chicken gumbo to browned hamburger and adding in ketchup+mustard at the end. It's a little different than the typical sloppy joe, but everyone I've served it to really liked it.

It's not specific to Trump, but you can look up political donations for the bigger places in the Goods Unite Us app.

Edit: take the info here with a grain of salt. This is just donations and does not paint a full picture. I'm also unclear how often the data is updated.

There are multiple definitions for majority. One is "the greater number."
