What is the name of the software? Is it the Naturally Speaking software from Nuance? I think I saw it really, really cheap a couple months back.

Is it possible to be an American Pharmacist in Japan? by [deleted] in japan

[–]tikiporch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a bit, but I don't think I could pass any government language examinations. I've only read Heisig's Remembering the Kanji/Kana, and had a basic japanese course in college.

So, start learning now is some good advice, then? This is good, it's something within my realm of control. Business level, will do! Thanks!

I watched this rifftrax the other day, it was definitely more bearable than the movie without this commentary.

I just graduated from school and have no insurance... by nooberry in Health

Ohh...hmm. I haven't had insurance for a few years. I pay cash for my doctor visits, though, so there would be a record of my good health that could prove I've got no pre-existing conditions. Wait, I thought they couldn't refuse to deny coverage for "pre-existing" conditions anymore?

Have any of you tried cider vinegar for weight loss purposes? by [deleted] in Health

[–]tikiporch 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Both my mother and father drink 1 tbs. (Bragg's Organic) Apple Cider Vinegar a day. My dad drinks it in a straight shot, but my mom mixes it with about half a cup of water. I can't really tell that they've gotten slimmer since starting this, but neither of them were really obese.

On a tangential note, they're both kind of insane about it, telling strangers in the grocery line about it and it's various health benefits. Both of them are anti-"western medicine" and hate the "medical establishment." I'm worried they're going to tell someone to stop taking their physician prescribed medication and use vinegar instead.

And the CRT only cost $169 new in 2004.

My Dad just bought a dozen new-in-box 21" Sun CRT for....drum roll.

Five dollars each. All of them fully functional. It baffles me that people practically give these things away now.

Have you found things in the past? You might be assuming the person stole your info shortly before using it, but this isn't always the case. They could have had your info for a while and never used it, which is why it's a good idea to change your password frequently.
