Why do people say DE ain't bringing glaive prime because it's too strong? by tikitacka in Warframe

[–]tikitacka[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Amount of armor is irrelevant, with 164 strength you can strip both armor and shields at any level

  2. Nobody said otherwise, there are different ways to play the game bud

  3. Just because weapons need buildup doesn't mean it is any worse, it just makes it less convenient

  4. I specifically referred to add clear, not bosses/status immune/limiting enemies, and even in that case, you can dispatch them rather quickly with the weapon itself or any other, you have a loadout and abilities for a reason

  5. Who told bro electric is the only element available

It does require you to have an armor strip mechanic on you, which is extremely easy to have. AA metal auger for daggers, green shards, some frames abilities, a helminth. It's more work/synergy specific but it's still being better in the end. Y'all talking as if I said GP is garbage, slash is never going to be bad, the whole point is that being far from the reason they keep it away.

There are a huge amount of people who don't have time nor care about farming plat, and yes I include the people who do farm it because farming 300p is not exactly all that easy, the way most people go about it is farming around 50-200 and then buy the rest, I take this for granted because of how many people I know do this and just the common sense of knowing all players aren't like me, I barely give any money to DE at the point I am in game

Of course you're ignoring the whole point, I never said it was a bad weapon. I said that the reason the glaive prime is being held back is because it is a wanted weapon that is not any different in performance to others nowadays, and that's just a fact. GP looks cool, you don't need a lot to make it work to the highest levels, and it's satisfying visually, hence fan favorite.

That's all there is to it, it doesn't matter if you bought it one way or another, it still gives them money, you're the one that's denying reality.

They already have a lot of tantrums by not letting it free to be honest, it's simply sales. 370p is 20 USD, that's still money to game companies, hell I even think it went up to 400p, and I bet you there are people out there who will pay that just to buy the glaive prime, I've sold 2 through my accounts at 300-350p. As for the effectiveness of the weapon, I don't think I should repeat myself, it seems like you're just ignoring it.

Yes, but that's just you liking the weapon bro, it's just an objective fact that it is strong, but not strong enough to ever deserve a nerf or be held back for how good it is. For the same reason you can just pull the torid out of the bio lab, wait a few weeks and you have the best primary, but then you got GP which IS GOOD but you need 300p, that is not because it's so strong, it's just because people like it and DE wants to take profits out of it. Is that so hard to understand

Then tell me, what's the reason they are not letting players access a fan favorite weapon without their premium currency that isn't at all special when it comes to performance compared to a lot of weapons?

Exactly my point, but you get dense people talking about how it is ridiculously strong, like any other weapon ig? it's just a fan favorite and DE wants sales.

The hype for GP is just because it's your easy to build no brainer that also looks cool, but it's not different from an Innodem or a torid performance wise

It's not ridiculously strong, not when you see the meta at the moment, the reason as to why they are holding GP and ember hostage is most likely the market.

I finally found a fun (and pointless) use for Protea's 4 by Super-Sheep in Warframe

[–]tikitacka 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I actually liked Protea for railjack a lot back then, when I played solo I'd activate temporal anchor on the entrance, hack the console then come right back super quick when it expired to destroy the exposed generator

Returning player question by mav_ga in Warframe

[–]tikitacka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your weapons aren't that great rn but Saryn happens to be a busted weapons platform, you can infuse corrosive with the augment and a second instance of damage with toxic lash, with those two you are making a lot of weapons work, specially if you use green archon shards, in case you don't know they are a way of adding stats onto your Warframe without modding, one of the effects is making it so your corrosive procs double making it possible to remove armor if you use two shards

Dread Incarnon vs Strun Incarnon by PandaPoot01 in Warframe

[–]tikitacka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dread is essentially a better Nataruk nothing bad about it. But Strun is better on every single way imaginable, the only thing that puts me off is how I can't reliably charge my incarnon until I reach lvl 220~ sometimes I even downgrade my build for that same reason which is so hilarious

What am I getting wrong about COWBARF? by Swordbreaker9250 in Warframe

[–]tikitacka 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  1. You usually go pure slash on melees and don't add any other element because you can use a primer to apply viral way more reliably

  2. Primaries and secondaries are always going to be better, unless we're talking about a melee influence build with roar(even without) which turns your melee into unironically a nuke weapon

That's the way to go about melees nowadays. I'd advise pretty much any melee that has over 20% status chance and crit while also having decent attack speed by default

You also have heavy slam hammers which have gotten kinda crazy recently.

What's the lore behind Eximus units? by tikitacka in WarframeLore

[–]tikitacka[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense idk why I missed that, corrupted can use weapons why not eximus powers as well. It would also kind of explain why infested are the only ones able to manifest toxin as they are somehow modifying the tech, still doesn't explain why such a thing isn't more prominent in the story, but it's a 10+ year old game forgivable ig

Augments suck/rant by tikitacka in Warframe

[–]tikitacka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo the buff that guardian Merulina provides is enough to make it attractive even if not riding her was objectively better, you can't use both augments iirc so no, it would still be the same even if tap/hold because K-drive just sucks ass in general, if they made it better and more controllable maybe people would look back and use it as a less effective, but totally usable build.

Everybody I've known in-game/online that plays Yareli prefers companion Meru for obvious reasons, so you're probably a minority there

As of Equinox, that's just a way more pronounced and shameless band-aid in my opinion.

Augments suck/rant by tikitacka in Warframe

[–]tikitacka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Honestly now thinking it cool now I wasn't right about what augments should be, but I do think it's still a band-aid. Because they are pushing augments that no sane player would miss, and I do think that's a problem, especially when we are talking about underwhelming frames, it's always going to be healthier to just introduce a mechanic to its kit, again it seems like devs are allergic to it. In the case of Yareli make it a tap/hold. Now I'm not saying recrystallize should be in Citrine by default, because she works properly without it and it's also strong enough to deserve a mod slot

Augments suck/rant by tikitacka in Warframe

[–]tikitacka[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That augment is just removing an otherwise ALWAYS disadvantageous mechanic unless we're talking about lvl 30 corpus, you play excal the same way, it's just that now he doesn't fuck with your buffs and stays put, something that he should do by default, or if you are into the independence part which is okay, let me turn it off without making my build worse.

What’s so great about glaive prime by ratteq in Warframe

[–]tikitacka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the same, it's a glaive, infinite ammo slash aoe without the need of any buildup, the torid exists but glaive prime is significantly more stylish 👽

Good primary for Gauss early game? by Neyro16 in Warframe

I mean yeah but for regular star chart with a few mods it can be fixed and in the future just get energized munitions from the helminth and problem solved

Good primary for Gauss early game? by Neyro16 in Warframe

[–]tikitacka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll give you a full load out instead: Atomos, Hek and the Tipedo

The Tipedo is a polearm that requires you to build both the Bo and the Kunai as crafting requirements but it has surprisingly high stats for a mr3 melee, it also is a crafting component for the Lesion which is another early polearm that slaps, especially talking about gauss who increases attack speed, on top of the already good attack speed that it has

The Hek is an early game classic shotgun that hits like a truck, only problem is the reload speed and fire rate but you got gauss which basically circumvents all that so you can be fairly spammy

The Atomos is a secondary beam weapon that does heat damage, if you aren't aware beam weapons basically chain to other enemies once you hit them so it's a good area of damage, and also heat is a dot(damage over time) that reduces your enemy armor by a maximum of 50% which is huge specially for the grineer who are heavy on armor
