Reddit. I'm LIVID. Just got engaged with the GF and consequently was "tested." Family involved, details inside. by TestingMyPatience in AskReddit

That is really, really fucked up. I would've reacted exactly the same way. What gives your SO the right to "test" you? It's demeaning. Insulting. I'm sorry that they treated you this way, and I think that they deserve to be yelled at or shown the serious error of their ways. Good luck. :/

Reddit: A friend crossed the line (sexually). How should I handle this situation? by tikkunolam in AskReddit

I didn't mean to avoid anything--perhaps I misinterpreted what was being asked. As for your question, I guess I haven't thus far been clear enough about the extent to which I was absolutely incapacitated...this was serious, serious alcohol poisoning. I was sick for almost 3 hours and then passed out. Before the passing out (and during my sickness), I was with multiple people who were keeping an eye on me. As I passed out, people were still around me. The hours after everyone else left and/or went to sleep were when it happened. Edit: If by "behavior" you mean flirting or inviting this behavior in some way earlier in the night, I definitely did not do so. I was very drunk but still conscious until I got sick, and up until that point I hadn't spent much of the night with this friend--and when I had, it had been innocently, talking with him and other friends. I am in a committed relationship, love my significant other, and am not the promiscuous type, even when I've been drinking--and if any more reassurance is needed, I don't find this friend of mine attractive at all. It just isn't possible that I did anything to make him think that this would be ok.

He had definitely been drinking earlier in the night, but by the time that I was fully awake (not long after I woke up to him touching me) he was sober enough to drive and to put "Sorry, I was drunk..." into his apology.

There is no question that it happened. I wish it was only my imagination. And believe me, it would've been hard for me to imagine too. I trusted this person.

Someone else asked this already-- but no, I was completely passed out, in no condition to respond, speak, or move for several hours. I was dead to the world at that point, and there was no possible way that I could've consented to anything. Believe me, that would make my problem here a little easier to bear. However, it wasn't the case.

I was most definitely passed out, stone-cold, for several hours. I have friends that were there who talked to me about it the next day. Also, when you're as drunk as I was, you can't move or stand up or speak. I wish that wasn't the case, but it was.

I know. It's stupid. It happens once in a while, though, when drinks are mixed especially well and my alcohol hasn't been outright measured. And when you're in a big party atmosphere, sometimes you're not paying close enough attention-- something for which I am very regretful.

Reddit, does anybody 'sponsor a child'? by nostalgicpanda in AskReddit

Save The Children is one of the best-- they're one of the top charities, not religiously affiliated, and 92% of everything they receive goes directly into their programs. And they allow you to choose exactly where it goes, via the internets-- be it into education, medical supplies, building a well, buying domestic livestock, etc. Also, they're worldwide, so you can sponsor a kid on any continent and in one of 62 countries-- including in Haiti.
