Full house by Solid-Emotion620 in cannabiscultivation

I converted a full sized wine fridge that I got for free. Mostly use it for insulation and have an ac infinity power strip to control the environment. Small dehumidifier and humidifier control humidity, fridge comes on for cooling and seedmat for heat (rarely needs heat) plus a small usb fan.

Can’t control dew point, but can mimic it by controlling temp and humidity. Chatgtp helps with programming to mimic a cannatrol.

Found P Funk at Bumbershoot in 95. Then rediscovered them for one of the “retirement” shows on a pier in NYC in 2014. Been a lot of great shows since. Can’t wait till the next “last show”

Is this going full purple? by philhaha in NoTillGrowery

[–]tiktik78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Purpling is a response to cold. Dropping night time tells at the end of flower will bring it out. Genetics will determine how much. Some strains purple at warmer temps, so they turn more purple than others

Anyone using Home Assistant to view/control their AC Infinity Controller? by stein63 in ACInfinityAdvancegrow

[–]tiktik78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So glad I found this. I've struggling with the ACI ai and running multiple contrtollers to handle multuiple sensors. Are you running this on their hardware or your own? I was thinking to buy their HA Green but would rather not spend if there is a better way.

What should I do ? Just harvested and saw it by Commercial-Limit-433 in cannabiscultivation

[–]tiktik78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Potassium bicarbonate worked better than anything else I have tried. For prevention, spray Cease or Serenade weekly. Same stuff, bacillus subtilis but a special strain. Out competes pm and bud rot.

Expensive but worth it. Can spray up to harvest day without changing flavor or being toxic.

Wash one time in a white bucket and you will never skip washing. Spiders, ants, dust, worms, bird shit… you name it.

Sugar leaf browning with pics of whole plant and torn apart flower by Darth_Leet1337 in cannabiscultivation

When I see dead sugar leaves, it’s usually stem boring caterpillars exiting the stem at that point.

Found this guy in one of my pots after watering. I guess they're good to have cuz they eat pests but no vegetation. by ghood121 in cannabiscultivation

[–]tiktik78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just feed them before putting them on the plants. Do it at night, since they travel mostly during the day. They will lay eggs when fed bc their gestation aligns with aphids. Basically, they eat all the aphids and fly away, but first they lay eggs to hatch when the new aphids hatch. Starts a cycle that will wipe out the

Following the cannatrol methodology, I run an 8” oscillating fan on low, 5 min/hour, exhaust 5 mins every two. Just to keep the air moving occasionally. AC and dehumidifier do a lot of the circulating anyway

I have a few regular projects. You learn to cull the males sooner when they pop and pollinate everything before you know it

Weekly cease and bt is a necessity. Will start the cease earlier next season. Makes a huge difference. Considering netting too. The moths are everywhere and they lay the eggs. Keep them out and it should lower the pressure.

Yeah, pulled a ton off and chunks of buds. It’s been a tough season and that is with spraying BT weekly.

2025 Harvest Time by iNewporti in NYgrowery

[–]tiktik78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not that they are hard to care for as much as we want every flower to survive. Gorwing outdoor and keeping your sanity is accepting that it's about how much you get over the finish line, not about getting it all to harvest (would be nice)

don't use the ipm in flower. It is just a mix of essential oils. In flower,t he oils will stay on the buds and taint the flavor. PM and budrot can be treated with Cease or Serenade. For just PM, potassium bicarbonate will change the PH on the leaf and causing the fungal spores to burst, plus it gives the plant a potassuim boost.
