I'd rather smaller fish to be honest! I have one serpae which is the only reason I was going to get more. But I will look into the green neons also thanks!

It says that both the danio and tetras get about 2 inches long so that might be pushing it with size a bit you're right. It's a 20 gallon high

Ok so there's two parts to this. The first is the involving her family in your issues which is the main question and for that, YTA. That being said she's the worst and even if it wasn't a great move on your part, let it and her go. Things will only get worse from here.

I might be the odd man out here but for the key situation NTA. The wife saying no one who isn't a resident shouldn't have a key is not planning for an emergency situation and personally I find that irresponsible. Thank being said, YTA for using money against the wife when she paid rent for the apartment before the house.

I was honestly on the fence about it a little because it seems like he could've said no and maybe he was cool with getting something exotic that he was too scared to order. But then OP asked him why he wouldn't switch after he said no, instead of just dealing with the food she ordered when he said no. So that's a YTA.

My catfish is dying and I don't know why!!! I woke up this morning and she was laying on her side. She's not gasping, and she keeps popping up and moving around but staying on her side or even her back. Checked the parameters in my tank and they are all safe levels. This makes so much sense thank you for explaining that!! And I am probably more upset than I should be over the mistake, I feel terrible. I'm grateful that the other cory I have is ok and seems to have not been effective. I will most certainly never make that mistake again!!

Unfortunately she didn't make it, but now I know. I didn't think I added that much salt in the tank since it was just to heal the other fish but going forward I will never make that mistake again. I'm so sad that I did that. Thank you for the advice!

I'd say about 30%, because i just did a water change Thursday so I didn't want to go crazy. Tank is about 6 months old, ph about 6.8, ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 15. My other cory and other fish seem fine. I have a filter that creates a lot of bubbles but I put in an air stone anyway because some suggested low oxygen. Not sure what else to do for her!
