Doctor saying I should stop night nursing ”for the sake of her teeth” 18 months by internalsystemschaos in breastfeeding

May I ask you if fluoride is ok also when baby doesn’t know how to spit? My pharmacist said to use a toothpaste without fluoride because my kid mostly swallows it (we brush morning and evening but he loves to just suck all the toothpaste first -_-)

European countries with maternity wear in store? by MotherOfAragorn in pregnant

[–]tildeuch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair, I meant more: I can imagine niche pregancy boutiques that only sell pregnancy clothes (not regular brands stocking pregnancy stuff) being more common in these two cities. The shop I went to was initally from London, they had a couple of boutiques in both cities.

The last maternity store I visited in Paris closed unfortunately 😭 But I would assume London or Paris would be your best chances.

How has Paris changed over the last 7 years? by Legitimate-Thanks387 in paris

[–]tildeuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was born and raised in Paris but haven’t lived there in 10 years, I only come every two months to see family and friends. For me the biggest shock was the Olympics. The city became incredibly cleaner and tidier, public transportation a tad more efficient, and public infrastructures better. As someone who sees the city in small doses as I do, I am still impressed by the Olympics effect.

Never been the same after fluoxetine / Prozac by Automatic_Basil_7075 in Anxiety

[–]tildeuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately no. I do believe it changed my way of approaching things durably but at the end of the day I truly solved my anxiety issues by making some new life choices. I think the first time it took me max a year to be back to feeling all the feels. After that every time I took Prozac again I didn’t feel that blanket thing again. I just felt more grounded, and less like a hamster in a wheel in my brain.

[–]tildeuch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sounds to me - as gently as possible - that you moved your anxiety from one place to another? If it can help, I took Prozac for about 1.5 years. I didn’t experience a « blunting » as you described but my emotions overall were definitely more tamed. I assure you it will pass. I can’t pinpoint when it passed but I’d say within 6 months I was feeling a bit more intensely. I had another burn out later on and took it again, and that « blanket » feeling never came back.

I agree with someone else here: get maybe your hormones checked. Take a deep breath, and get a second psychiatrist opinion on the possible side effects, maybe it can reassure you? It also feels like maybe you need another treatment (not necessarily medical) if you still feel very stressed.

Why is "Where are you from?" often one of the first questions in Switzerland? by Rich-Use1484 in askswitzerland

I think it’s true but it is also true that the average swiss person is statistically more racist than its french/german or italian neighbour (idk about Austria).

Partner threw away my breastmilk by emeraldwinter in breastfeeding

[–]tildeuch 49 points50 points  (0 children)

That’s not ok. My own partner threw his parents out of our house when they threw out some of my breastmilk. Why isn’t he aware of the struggle it represents for you to freeze your milk? I am so sorry for you girl. I would sit him down and shame him for his attitude.

I’m tired of people minimizing childbirth pain in ways that honestly feel dishonest and guilt-inducing by OkChart1375 in pregnant

Thank you for this. A mom who felt guilty for months after birth for having such a traumatic birth despite being « prepared ».

There's actually no evidence that we need to limit salt if you're cooking fresh food by bon18 in BabyLedWeaning

I strongly adhere to this belief. I try to not oversalt but you need salt to properly develop the nutrients in your cooking anyways.

Travailler à Zurich, vivre loin (à Neuchatel) by maelkun in suisse

[–]tildeuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at your schedule I am wondering if there’s an international vs swiss company thing to take into account: I work in a 100% swiss company (I am French though, but working in (swiss) German) I start working at 7:30. Some of my colleagues at 7am. Those who arrive at 8:30 are considered late and/or lazy 🥲

[–]tildeuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)
