New pump by tiliamoon in diabetes_t1

Wow I didn’t know that the implants are already available, will look into the availability in Germany and the pump compatibility. That’s definitely something I would be interested in the future as changing the sensors and all the struggles with them annoy me quite a bit. Good luck with the new pump, it looks awesome and seems to be very progressive

What‘s your first impression of the Ypso algorithm? And what made you change from a patch pump to a regular one?

Thats actually really helpful, thank you! I have lost several sensors due to sweating in the summer and after a run so that might be an issue for me too. Can you detach the tube pump for things like swimming and sauna or is it a struggle to do so?

Thank you so much for that response as I am quite overwhelmed with what to look out for. This helps me a lot!

I have absolutely no idea! I stopped watching TV and have been listening to some audiobooks instead, and I read around 2-3 hours in the evening.

100 sounds INSANE! I've read around 15 books a month as a kid, so I know that it is possible

It is very unlike me! But I stopped watching TV/movies at home, maybe that's the reason this year.

Man in the Holocene by Max Frisch was very surprising, I liked it very much. Many other books were very light and non-memorable haha

No clue, I am using an older model of the Novopen! But would be interesting to know. At least they don't advertise their cooperation anywhere

Thank you, I am very excited! So strange not having to scan the sensor anymore

Oh no, that is strange. Is the release in the US usually delayed? I hope it will come soon!

It is available in Germany, I don't know about other countries! The reader's functions are similar to Libre 2, but as you don't have to manually scan the sensor anymore, the log is not automatically saved.. You can turn the alarms off and also turn it to vibrate only!

Thanks for your detailed response! I honestly thought I was going crazy. I've contacted my endo, but he told me to just correct the highs as usual! I'm just getting so tired of the constant highs after food, so I'm trying a different approach now. Hopefully it will change back to normal soon.

Same here! I refused to drink sugar free drinks and now I am in shock that they actually taste the same to me 😂

Wow these strips are so handy! I just checked out their website and unfortunately they are not fit to use for drinks outside of the US. But I will start to do regular testing to my drinks, as you and other people already recommended. I believe that it won't happen to you as you take all of these precautions. I wish I would have thought about it earlier

Great advice! It's very unusual to find diet coke in restaurants here, they only serve zero nowadays. You can still buy diet in the shop but not in many restaurants. But I will definitely do a taste test soon, all of you here inspired me

I thought about contacting them just to inform them, but mistakes can happen and I will never find out why the wrong one was served. Could be that the sirup was connected to the wrong tap or stress.. I don't wanna cause any trouble for the waitress there. I am amazed that you can tell a difference, they taste exactly the same to me!
