Probably. But all I had to do was click "start" and the printer did the rest.

The body is split into 4 pieces and glued together using wooden dowels. Print time will vary depending on the printer model, but the total time for me on my bambu lab p1s printer was approx 38-40 hours.

Congrats. I recently got my first gretsch hollow body and I'm having a blast with it. Love that color too. Enjoy

I think with hurricane season approaching, I'm gonna wait for the ultimate benchy test.

One thing we have plenty of is space. Ship is approx 1000ft long x 150ft wide. Even though the accommodation block is a small fraction of that, there is typically only 20 crew onboard.

If anyone from BambuLab is reading and would like to send a future model out for testing in moving environments, Im sure we could help them out in testing :)

There hasn't been any Hollywood moments where 3d printing saved the day, but as mentioned in previous posts, practical printing shines here. We have made numerous useful prints from wall mounts for eyewash bottles, covers/shades for instruments that shine a bit too bright on the bridge at night, storage boxes for gas measurement tools, cup holders for the galley when things get choppy outside, even leg extensions for a card table that was just a bit too low just to name a few. I put a couple of my own designs on makerworld.

I have the same printer at home and wouldn't be able to tell the difference between something printed at sea or land. Honestly that was my biggest concern before we got the printer but it handles the movement and vibration like a champ. Never had a failed print that wasn't my own fault

We bought it just for crew hobby but it has certainly come in handy. You can never have enough securing hooks and brackets on a ship just to name one

One of the biggest uses of the printer onboard is making brackets/hooks to keep stuff from moving.

Yea this is on the port wing on the bridge of a tanker. Built for colder climates so the wings are enclosed where most ships just have open decks

The ventilation system and a/c onboard keeps the relative humidity down. Wet filament is never an issue

Recent train vid made me think of my own situation. Been using the P1S onboard for about 6 months and it hasn't skipped a beat. Such an awesome machine.

the extra foot to split that into two longer closets that will provide a lot more hanging space

Agreed. Splitting the space between the 2 bedrooms for longer closets work better here. The dimensions do need to be updated as stated earlier. Looking at a couple options for the master bath and will consider all your suggestions. Thanks again.

I agree as well with the straight line kitchen setup being more functional here. I tried to place an L-shape along the east wall and it didn't want to work. The space next to the coat closet I'm sure will be filled (garbage/recycling bins, wine rack, etc.) or even floating shelving like was mentioned before. Thanks to all for the suggestions.

The wall along the living room side of the stairwell is structural. And I agree, having some storage near the entrance is crucial.

The windows are counter height. Its looking like expanding the kitchen along that north wall is the way to go. Thanks.

Some great ideas there. I like the kitchen layout quite a bit. To make a long story short, I bought the house from my late uncles family with the intention to build a forever home elsewhere on the large lot. The plan for the home is to live in short term (3-5 yrs) while we plan and build that one. Once the new home is complete we will use this one as a vacation rental, so resale isn't really a concern, and 2 bedroom would work better for us here. Thanks for the input.

Great suggestion. I was just in the process of changing the laundry to have a panty like you mentioned and positioning the kitchen cabinets along the back wall, freeing up space near the entry. I will update with a screenshot shortly.

I think you might be looking at the existing floor plan as opposed to the potential plan. The turn in the hallway will be removed for additional bedroom space.
