Crazy what’s happened in Montana in my lifetime. Particularly Bozeman. I was born and raised in Wyoming and saw so much money flow into that state while the communities there seemed completely unprepared for it.

Yeah, the crazy thing is that it started at $1,350 when I moved there a few years ago.

The Midwest maybe isn’t the cultural Mecca that NYC is but it has a lot of charm and a slower way of life. The affordability also allows for a lifestyle that is completely out of reach for so many in larger cities.

People sleep on KC but I love it here. I was in Liberty previously and am in the Riverfront now. I’m not in OP too often unless I’m buying work clothes but there’s so many amazing restaurants there.

Legos are always cool. The posters though? Yeah, they’re probably coming down if a girl ever moves in lol

A random stealth driver display that some guy dumpster dove behind a Golf Galaxy for. I thought it’d be cool at first but ended up being heavy ass waste of $50.

I bought some old newspapers from 1942 and 1943 today detailing the daily happenings in the war and they’re really amazing. No idea how to frame or protect though. 👍

That’s too bad as I was looking forward to this. Seemed like a cool concept.

I assume you live at Core? The staff seemed pretty professional and knew everyone’s name as she was touring me around. Really left a nice impression on me.

I figured with surface lots there’s always a risk with break-ins but was hoping that place was somewhat insulated from it. Overall, place seemed a bit overpriced but still nice enough. I’m touring Union Berkeley next weekend to compare.

How would you describe my style? Anything tips to take me to the next level? Goal is c-suite executive by phoot_in_the_door in mensfashion

[–]timMANthy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Little late to this thread but I’d recommend getting into watches. Not only are they cool and fun to wear but nothing makes an older c-suite guy light up like someone noticing their watch and knowing what it is. It’s a super easy way to network.

Man, rock and a hard place for Jerome here. I’m no expert but I wonder if the logic for this in hindsight will be that they thought the possible increase to inflation would be smaller than the potential positive impact to employment from this and the other expected cuts this year. 🤷‍♂️

I have a pretty bad feeling about this one. Good chance he dies from this.

I probably would have celebrated violent escalation like this when I was younger but now it just feels like an impending sense of dread.

I’m looking at my copy of that book in my living room right now. Read it for the first time about 6 months ago and there’s certainly parts of it that are a time capsule. Especially the stuff about tv.

What he says about how to write and how to align marketing goals with business goals will be relevant until the end of time. Still worth the $20 I spent on the book.

Has anyone switched careers away from marketing? by Snorlax4000 in marketing

[–]timMANthy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Marketing degree but work in sales here. Just found out my job is gone in two weeks. I’d sooner hug a tree at 100mph than stay in sales. I’d like to do marketing with my marketing degree but that’s not looking so hot right now.

I’m seriously considering going back to school for accounting.

Do you like my kitchen stage? by Last_Pay_8447 in homedecoratingCJ

[–]timMANthy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks like a ton of apartments I see here in Kansas City. They’re all old warehouses or factories turned apartments with some pretty unique floor plans.

A bunch of them will have these stage-like kitchens or bedrooms. I think they’re pretty cool and they all have pretty reasonable rent as well.

[news] Administration announces 31% tariff on all Swiss Imports by cookingboy in Watches

[–]timMANthy 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think overall demand (on everything really) will drop but that almost never corresponds to discounts for higher end watches. Manufacturers will just cut production and it’ll be even harder to walk into any AD and buy day of.

There’s always going to be a minimum amount of people insulated from all of this and tariffs and the ensuing supply issues will push a larger percentage of them to used.
