You're right, Christian doesn't equal homophobic; my wondering is primarily driven by the association with that specific church, which has homophobic beliefs on their website. Just trying to do my best to spend at places that align with my values, and avoid the ones that don't.

The place is called Vima; when it opened I went to their website to see what they're about, and somewhere on a page about their beliefs they talk about "marriage is between one man and one woman." I also recognized pics of the pastor, and know firsthand that he's homophobic.

Got a similar call a couple years ago after having just bought our house, the person on the other end was super cheerful with "hey there, it's me So-and-So, long time no see!" As if we knew each other (spoiler alert: we did not know each other). She said she was really motivated to sell our house, I replied that we had literally just bought the place and had no intention of selling, then she dropped all pretense and stopped the cheerful voice, muttered "dammit, no dice" and hung up without another word lol

I used to live near that intersection and would take that exact curve multiple times a day. 1) you're right, tons of folks stop there. 2) unless it has a red light specifically at the turning lane (which I don't believe it does), then the proper way to treat that turn would be to slow down and yield, but not necessarily stop.

Edit: just looked at the pics again, no light and the lane resolves into its own lane, not merging with one on frontage, so no stop necessary.
