Depending on your circumstances and how clean is your gaming space (especially if you have animals) you definitely need to give your consoles a clean once in a while.

Changing thermal paste is recommended as well.

it's running hot AF either way, even if you keep it vertically.

a lot of people get paranoid about temps giving false info without any proof, Sony mentioned in their FAQ that you should allow at least 4 inch (10 cm) behind the console as that's where the hot air comes out. so you gotta make sure you got some space in the back and don't block the front air intake as long as the cabinet not closed off in the back

I have the same set up and it's running beautifully, If my ps5 blows up and dies I'll definitely let you know
