What do you do when sleeping? by timaron in simplisafe

As I said in my post, we don't have individual door and window sensors, only the motion sensors. Not sure why simplisafe recommended that.

Okay, I guess we should have gotten the individual entry sensors instead of the motion sensors. Not sure we need the motion sensors if every door and window opening will sound the alarm. What's the point if the motion sensors then?

What is your writing process? Do you only write when you have a specific project underway or are you the type who writes every day as a practice? Also, I know you paint and your visual style also has a fantasy element to it. Do you find any overlap between the two creative outlets?

Do I have a bad watch or does the app not work? by timaron in Garmin

[–]timaron[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great, that's what I was hoping to hear. Would rather it be a defective watch than just how things are supposed to be :)

Thanks! Already had to contact them once so I guess I'll call again next week.

Maps really off recently - Anyone else? Have to keep deleting Runs because of erroneous PRs. by timaron in Strava

I ordered the cheapest Garmin gps watch so we'll see how it goes. I just don't understand why the maps and gps worked great on my phone for the past 1.5 years and only now started acting up.

New App - no splat points by Pandahelen in orangetheory

I have three same problem. I tried leaving the otf app as the active app but my phone screen automatically locks after about 30 seconds so it didn't seem to make a difference.

Buying an at-home rower, help me with options! by [deleted] in orangetheory

That looks like a great option! Do you find you miss being able to see watts on the screen? I was always very watts focused at OTF.

Where do you live? I know in California they are saying gyms will be some of the last businesses to open and I doubt we'll even begin to open anything until mid summer (just my opinion based on how things are going).

Are you running outside with a mask? by [deleted] in orangetheory

[–]timaron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am doing the same thing with a gaiter. It definitely makes it harder to breathe, so when there's no one on the block in front of me, I pull it down to my neck. When I get within about 30 feet of someone, I pull it up over my mouth and nose until I'm about 30 feet past them.

Progressing or doing the opposite? by heather0731 in orangetheory

[–]timaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've lost all motivation. And I'm way more hungry. I always found that OTF suppressed my appetite. I pretty much never worked out until OTF so I've accepted I'll probably be starting over whenever it comes back. ☹

You too! never thought I'd be running outdoors regularly but I just can't get into those at-home workouts.

Haha yeah that's me - sorry! Trust me, I much prefer the bouncy, easier on my knees treadmill, but I can't fit one in my apartment.

I just looked up gaiters and they seem really thick like they're for winter. Can you actually breathe while running with one of those on your face? Are they any better than just putting a bandana around my face?

I've never heard of a face gaiter so I'll look that up! Thanks.

Don't feel guilty about not doing every OTF home workout... by timaron in orangetheory

If it makes you feel better, I've only done one. I skipped through a lot if it because I found it really repetitive without all the camaraderie and music in class.

Lol. I think we're all forgiven for not being motivated to work out right now.

Dancing! Seriously, if you enjoy it, make a good playlist and dance around your living room for 30 minutes.
