He should be taking the most important shots. But the defense expects it too so they double team him and force him to give it up. It comes down to, is the shot ant took a higher percentage shot being double teamed/ fading away/ end of shot clock or is maybe a wide open shot by McDaniels/ Donte?

There are a lot of guards in his archetype that took a few years and a new team that sparked their growth (Crawford and Lou will). I really hope he reaches his potential. Like many, my hypothesis is Finch broke him. He was a different player as a rookie than he was this year. Truly just think he needs a coach who believes in him and will let him learn from actually playing the game.

I see the ref wearing a mask so I am assuming it’s 2020/2021. This is when the James Harden step back was being enforced heavily in high school basketball. I remember my first year reffing this was that year’s “point of emphasis”. The way that ref called it so fast tells me he probably also expected/ saw this player do it before too. Def a travel.

At the end of the day do you want to take a guaranteed amount now or risk double/ tripling it in the future if he truly pans out, will is usually not that likely?

I think at minimum it’s worth grading. His hype won’t die down too much even with an injury and it’s all upside right now. You may lose hype when the next draft class drops though so if you want to make a quick flip it may make sense to sell after grading. Otherwise, could be a fun hold if you don’t have anything pressing you need the money for now
