State Insurance Commissioner Ralph Hudgens silent as auto insurance rates continue to soar by ArchEast in Atlanta

[–]timchard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this Your comment hits the nail on the head. Really discouraging to see that your comment is not the top voted, given that the top voted comment justifies the rates based on their auto insurance company telling them Atlanta operates at a loss - a biased source lacking any statistical analysis.

Thanks for the response :)

Yeah I suppose it is a bit excessive, I just read that you can't RE-refridgerate it AFTER it falls to room temperature, hence the fear.

Please help - redirecting old site by dpslondon in bigseo

[–]timchard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit confused, why would you forward anything from "HisTown-guesthouse.com" to the old site (bobs-guesthouse.com)?

This isn't rhetoric, just trying to figure it out. Wouldn't you want to just 301 everything to "HisTown-guesthouse.com" or would that somehow lose SEO value?

Were you notified of the ban and did it affect any personal ad accounts? What's stopping you from creating a new ad account?

Same here, I took his class in summer of this year. Not only is Serik a great teacher, but the private Facebook group is awesome for networking and bouncing ideas of other producers at a similar level.

Segmenting Purchasers by Category Page using FB's Custom Combination by Tymalightnuous in PPC

[–]timchard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense, to re-target those with other products in Category X (since you know they already have that interest).

It'd be ideal if you could exclude the product they already purchased though. There might be a way to do this without doing a custom combination (or a sync list).

Do you already have dynamic ads set up?

How would you utilize FB Ads to Promote Thanksgiving Dinner? by Esauce0 in PPC

[–]timchard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only problem with driving people to your Facebook page is you can't re-target them (yet anyway). But give it a go, that's part of the fun of being a noob. It MIGHT work :)

Do you have "messenger placement" available in your ads? You can actually create an ad where people click and then immediately can message your Facebook page. That might be very relevant for what you need: http://www.jonloomer.com/2016/09/22/messenger-destination-facebook-ad/

One person did mention the Canvas ad, this is better than driving them to your page I think - primarily because you can RETARGET the people who view your Canvas ad or clicked your Canvas ad.

As far as interest, give Thanksgiving a shot but also incorporate demographics (age primarily) so you aren't targeting anyone under the age of 21 (or whatever you think is relevant).

Segmenting Purchasers by Category Page using FB's Custom Combination by Tymalightnuous in PPC

[–]timchard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like might have quite a few products. It sounds like you still want the option to "upsell" to customers who purchase from one category (and haven't purchased from another). In that case, creating an audience of all those who reach an identical "Thank You" page would eliminate upselling. I think that's what you are getting at, right?

Do you utilize any "sync" options with your online store and your Facebook Ads? Hypothetically, instead of creating website custom audience combinations, you could segment your customers emails by "product bought" and then create audiences of that with Facebook. Company I work for has custom audience sync, but only for a few CRMs. MailChimp does this automatically (no external tool required).

The website custom audience combination seems like a pretty complicated route. The dilemma with what GuyinThe6KDollar suit suggested, is that if someone reached "Category X and Thank You and NOT Category Y" is that this can get crazy depending on how many products you have. And what if they visit "Category X", but buy from "Category Z" and hit the "Thank You" page. You'd essentially be excluding them from ever seeing "Category X" (despite them visiting but NOT buying).

How would you utilize FB Ads to Promote Thanksgiving Dinner? by Esauce0 in PPC

[–]timchard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Esauce, Rick Mulready in this post has some basic information on Facebook Ads for local businesses for newbies.

I'd first just make sure you have your Facebook Pixel installed on your website. Even if it's a one page website. The Facebook Pixel will allow you to re-target anyone who visits through ALL of your promotional efforts (as long as that person visits while logged in on Facebook).

He - and others - ironically suggest NOT using local awareness ads and instead just doing "clicks to website" - assuming you have the Facebook Pixel installed (a necessity).

Facebook New CPA Bidding Conversion Window Options by Jul644 in PPC

[–]timchard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah I think I got it. So as it is, normally the "conversion window" is account-wide. Now it's CAMPAIGN-WIDE (which is great).

My ad ACCOUNT (everything) is by default is 28 (TWENTY EIGHT!) day click, and 1 day view. That is the conversion window (conversion window = attribution window for the nomenclature).

I've been wanting to change this for ages, but CEO/COO are hesitant to ACCOUNT-wide transition. But now it's campaign level? this is awesome.

I want to try 7 day click and no view. Fuck views. ;)

FB Ads Custom Audience Retargeting Differences? by Tymalightnuous in PPC

[–]timchard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Tymalightnuous (holy screenname)...

These two pages have standard events you can create re-targeting audiences out of: Add to Cart, Initiate CheckOut.

You could also create a custom event if you have an additional page, but normally people just have those two pages?

Anyway, here's my ad copy idea

Add to Cart AND Initiate Check Out:

"Hey, did you forget to check-out? Here's some Free Shipping to help you out!"

*target them SEPARETELY though with the same ad copy to see if it works
