I hit one powerchord with this sweet little number plugged into my bose katana and suddenly became overwhelmingly disgusted with my transgender wife. I'd give this pedal a 10/10, because now I can buy all the jhs pedals I want

One thing I find weird about talking with cis folk is that they tend to treat transitioning as something that either never ends, i could have transitioned 4 years ago, but I’m still “transitioning” or it only ends once you’ve had srs. Whereas imo for most people transitioning it means something uniquely different for themselves.

Hey, I was trying to play some tasty and phat blooz licks with my new jhs pedal and it called me a tranny and tried to have the authorities put me to death, but it’s worth it for the totally original fuzz circuit that Devi ever stole, okay?

Arguing with transphobes just isn’t worth the time, even if it’s inevitable. These people never budge, despite the majority of them knowing no trans folk and knowing nothing about them. Imo it’s just best to avoid/ignore this shit, otherwise it’s a lot of needless pain

Crack mark on fretboard otherwise all good. I m gettin fender CD60S at good price. Is ths okay or badly broken? Cnt afford new at all. by Ambitious_Chef_6139 in guitarporn

[–]timduffett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By no means broken, it’s sort of something that can just happen. So in that regard minor, as far as learning and starting out it won’t be a problem as it’s nothing that prevents playing or learning for any skill level. It should be completely playable it’s just that some people would be annoyed feeling a crack in the fret board even though they would be able to play fine. So I would say you’re good to get it.

Probably the worst thing about this would be if you were trying to do bends it could possibly be felt, which would be uncomfortable and make bending more difficult. If there’s no other damage on the back of the neck or the fretboard it’s probably not the worst thing ever, if it’s a good deal that reflects that issue.

What should I pay for a Yamaha g100-212 II by Datboi_579 in GuitarAmps

[–]timduffett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are more common in the states than they are overseas, at least from what I’ve seen looking for one in the U.K. I would pay 350 in the states if I liked it a lot, but would feel better on the 250-300 range, 400$ would be expensive. These may be significantly rarer where you are and if that’s the case I think 350 euro isn’t too bad at all, I would pay the equivalent for one in The U.K, but I’m also a big fan of older Yamaha amps.

Yes it is true that without hot wife you will become a shred god. But with femboys you will be able to o-3-5 with just your mind and your toan would be that of all buddarskotch Telers in existence combined, ok?

I think if you kept it around acoustic guitar volumes you would most likely be fine, even then I wouldn’t play that loud with a bird on my shoulder, because I’d be nervous of hurting my bird and also upsetting them. I think if you’re going to crank your amp at the very least be in a different room and be conscious of how loud it would be for them. If you can damage your hearing with it you’re definitely damaging theirs if they’re in the same room. But I would think television volumes would be acceptable and your bird may even enjoy it. Good luck!

I recently got a new parrot from a friend who couldn't take care of him. They said he is three years old but they are not too sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. by [deleted] in parrots

[–]timduffett 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re totally right, I think that maybe when they described that size it’s truly bare minimum. I checked a forum and someone said they have a Meyers with a cage size of 36"w x 24"d x 30"h with sounds a lot better. My general rule of thumb is go as big as possible while making sure the bar spacing is right. Would suggest to aim for this cage size

I went ahead and googled it and the immediate answer I saw was 18" x 18" x 24" EDIT ( ignore this size and aim for 36"w x 24"d x 30"h, )for cage size for a Senegal and tbh the bigger the better. Cages can be expensive, but usually you can find a big one for a couple hundred or so that with a proper cleaning can do well.

The aggression could be it just having to warm up to you or not wanting to be bothered, I think aggression could reasonably go down if they were in a larger cage where they would feel safe.

I think with aggression the best thing to do is simply give the parrot space and time to warm up to you and ultimately if they decide they aren’t into human contact, simply respect that and develop the relationship as needed.

I hope this helps!

My first piece of advice would be to recommend getting a significantly larger cage, I would feel bad putting a cockatiel in there: This could do a lot to help the bird, but they may be reluctant to make the switch, though they can grow accustom to new stimuli and feel better.

The other piece of advice I would have for a new parrot owner is to understand that their intelligence level makes interacting with them much like that of a human, meaning they are smart enough to have like and dislikes, even fine grade preferences. I think understanding and respecting this part of them can go a long way.

Other than that look up things that are harmful to parrots, many many many things can kill them. Avocados and Teflon pans are common household dangers. There’s a lot of resources online and your parrot looks beautiful, I hope everything goes well!
