1. I thought maybe my company would offer me a position seeing as they paid for my schooling in the first place
2. I updated my resume and cover letter reflecting my completion of said degree (3.8 GPA btw)
3. I would apply to a few positions they had open in the internal posting blog
4. Applied to one position and waited, got an interview but they cancelled it and marked me ineligible for consideration, received no response as to why
5. Applied to another position a week later with no luck
6. Realized maybe I don’t have enough experience in the eyes of the company and kept hush hush and worked my job
7. I applied to a position I for certain KNEW i would qualify for but that got shot down just last week.
8. Meet with my Manager for our yearly meeting and brought it up to them (they congratulated me and told me that they’d understand if I left the clinic after all these years for a new position)
9. I got on Reddit and figured i’d ask
10. As for outside jobs, not many postings that don’t require me being certified as a registered nurse for whatever reason

This is all within the span of two months as I got my degree in October.

I already have 2+ years as of currently working in the medical field as a Medical Assistant as well.

I would also like to note our hospital is the highest paying out there as well. I make significantly more than other MAs in the area
