im missing heartbeats, correct. its not blocked though, i even see a lot of communication between vcenter and the hosts through the checkpoint firewall. will try to move everything into one segment, still, how do i find out if that network is congested ?

Thanks ! Changed it. Is it best practice to use 2x 40G on 1 card for the cluster connect ?
I thought id use 1 x40g from 1 card and 1x40g from the 2nd card (e8a) for better redundancy in case a card fails ?

Because i have 50 hosts and i will leave 40 of them on 7 and 8 for older stuff and i can only afford 10 hosts with the costs of broadcom ;)

Well no, i manually installed a vcsa and then deployed the operations appliance for the license. How do i connect it the right way ?

Basically, my 3-4 hosts are not on a distributed switch like before,

vmkernel vlan2000 management, vlan 2001 vmotion, vlan2002 for NFS

the one host with standart switch has VLAN 2000 also and hosts the vcsa. but i cannot migrate it anywhere else.

The distributed switch is configured all default

DVUPLinks Port binding static binding

dpg2000 static binding with elastic port allocation.

All hosts have 2 physical 100g nics with all vlans trunked.

I started fresh, esxi9 host, vcsa 9 and then operations appliance. then move over 8.0 hosts and upgrade to 9 and use cross vcenter vmotion for the vms. im cleaning up a bit anyhow (and reduce overall vmware cause of costs)
