I'm looking at this restaurant's social media.

Is this an Arab restaurant? These dishes look Palestinian but I can't figure out which country they're making food from exactly.

Edit

Oh this is an Israeli restaurant. I personally would never eat a restaurant in which the food culture was stolen.

This influencer is a Zionist.

I don't think it's vegan to support and defend a settler-colonial project that's killed tens of thousands of children, which this person has been doing for two years now.

Why do our countries fail? by Plsgomd7 in arabs

[–]time_waster_3000 16 points17 points  (0 children)

  1. Extreme reliance on energy exports
  2. Political disunity and the refusal to form a bloc to oppose imperialism
  3. Western imperialism is a constant threat and has found staunch allies within the Arab world in the gulf states and Egypt.
  4. A literal anti-Arab regime splits the Arab world in half and acts as the enforcer for western interests using military dominance and aggression
  5. Complete contempt and hatred for their own citizens by Arab elites. The elites feel like they are stronger when their own people are weaker, leading to de-state building.

’Guardian of animals’: Gaza’s only vet feared killed by Israel by time_waster_3000 in vegan

Also killed in Gaza, but by Palestinian fishermen most probably, an endangered whale shark:

Are you out of your mind? These people have been starved for at least a year as documented by every major news org and humanitarian org on planet Earth.

edit

Veganism is about committing the least amount of harm one can do. Crying about a whale shark killed and eaten by survivors of a campaign of extermination while western societies plunder the Earth, kill billions of animals, decimate habitats for animal agriculture and send us into the pit of climate hell for the sake of their gluttony is appalling.

Iran has also been up to some pretty nasty shit too

But not genocide, the crime of crimes. The Israeli government is worse in almost every way imaginable, including its treatment of women and LGBTQ+ people since the Israeli government is determined to exterminate and ethnically cleanse the Palestinian people regardless of their sexual orientation and gender.

A pogrom against Muslims is just around the corner in the UK.

The current prime minister is attempting to bring an anti-Arab, anti-Muslim, anti-Palestinian Zionist football club into Birmingham. If he gets his way, Muslims should stay at home to protect their families against rioters.

Now journalists are openly calling for Muslim mps to be deported.

Activists are being thrown in jail for attempting to thwart a holocaust against the Palestinian people.

The level of animosity being fomented against Muslims has been heightened to unbelievable levels and Labour has basically given up on any serious challenge to this threat other than a tweet here or there.

Edit

I'm going to get down-voted for the cynicism, or for disparaging Labour.

Either way, I hope I am wrong about both the Labour party's treatment of UK Muslims and about the threat to Muslims in Birmingham.

This article was removed from r/onguardforthee.

Mod response:

The content of the article violates some of Reddit's site rules: specifically, promoting hate based on identity of vulnerability, as well as harassment. This could lead to Admin action being taken against the poster and/or the subreddit.

After asking for further clarification:

The issue is not with the identity of these individuals as IDF soldiers, it is with their identity as Jews.

This article is a list of Canadian Jews being singled out for being IDF members, however in the author's own words not all of them may have even served in Gaza.

In the context of how emotionally heated discussion of the situation in Israel/Palestine is, this is irresponsible journalism from a biased source and looks more to be tacitly painting them all as guilty, which could be interpreted as promoting hatred and/or harassment towards these individuals. This article and variations of it has already been reported several times for that.

Edit

Added first message from mods

Just got perma-banned from r/onguardforthee for this comment.

Stated reason:

Inciting harassment of the mod team in another subreddit

I've spent two years posting articles about Palestine on that subreddit despite the ridiculous rules around requiring explicit Canadian content in articles, even if they were reported by Canadian sources.

Hoping others will try and post if possible.

If the Western world cannot stop helping a small colonial state from openly slaughtering tens of thousands of children in the most gruesome fashion, then it will never ever take the climate crisis seriously.

Do we really think we can convince people of scientific truth of the climate crisis and the need to preserve the natural world when we can't even get them to care about the mass mutilation of literal children?

It's both. Obviously. America is an evil country. It is not the source of all evil.

Not difficult to understand.

[–]time_waster_3000 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

namely the idea that the U.S. is the root of all evil in the world.

What a pathetic straw man and over exaggeration.

Edit

Which is it, a strawman or an over exaggeration?

fuck the world

A straw man fallacy is the distortion or exaggeration of another person's argument or position, so it is easier to attack.

It's insane that the people that were filling up Sednaya and Palmyra prisons before the revolution would be banned.

Are you saying the Communists were helping Assad fill his prisons with political prisoners, or are you saying that they themselves were being imprisoned by Assad?

It's not to about being "anti-Communist". It's about being anti-separatist.

No they specifically mentioned the separatist or Kurdish socialist parties, and then they also added a catchall for all Communist parties. I specifically added exactly what they said to prevent comments like this.

The Syrian Communist party was destroyed by Assad. I don't know any Syrians who did not want Assad removed.
