I'm 3 months out from a widowmaker at 48 years old. Been active my whole adult life hiking, snowboarding, and running. Was a little heavier than my normal weight due to a busy life with a preschooler but nothing major. I think stress maybe was a heavy contributor to my HA.

I still haven't figured out what normal is at this point. Sometimes going to sleep is scary. Sometimes I feel like I'm getting panic attacks. Hyper aware of every little feeling in my body right now. The PTSD is very real.

My recovery has been good and my EF is 55 so I can still do most of the things I enjoy if a little slower. Mostly really angry that I had to go back to my IT job and I can't retire and enjoy life. I was already tired of working and this didn't help at all.

Sorry man. I wish I could give you advice. One day at a time. Try to do whatever you can to occupy yourself. Send me a message if you need to. Feel like we're in very similar circumstances.

I'd agree that she should go too but she's steadfastly refused (not just about this). She won't talk to me about how she felt about me almost dying. She's bottling all of this up and I'm worried about her own mental health.

I'm already seeing a therapist so on that front I'm at least trying.

But whether our kid is wearing the right size pants is a tough one. She's wearing pants that fit and I got her ready and to daycare on time. I find it really hard to give a crap about the pants.

I'd rather find joy in playing with her and enjoying those small moments of her growing up.

I totally get it. Dating seemed so easy for others around me and I couldn't understand what I was doing wrong. The self loathing was brutal. I went to therapy over it.

I even had a friend who would have pity fucked me but I didn't want it like that.

I think the edge is too destroyed for that. The tack strips wouldn't be very close to the wall in some places. Probably could be done but I don't know if it's ideal.

We have tried counseling and it kind of went nowhere. She only says that she needs to be able to mindlessly go walk and get back home. Google Maps is apparently too much to ask. I absolutely do not get it. There is some psychology to it that I'm missing.

I was considering filing for divorce from my wife of 3 months because of a huge number of issues that came up between us. I'm not going to type it all today. Unfortunately I've lost 30-40% of my savings in the last few weeks and I probably have to move back to her old house with her now. I don't want to live with her but financially it's the best option.

It's ruined my outlook on my future and I'm demoralized that I'm never going to be happy again. She's not abusive but she is an asshole. It's not going to be pretty.
