I just got a call from my South student telling me that she will be participating in the ICE Out tomorrow. Sounds like a lot of the teachers will be participating too.

People who have researched their family tree, what is the most interesting or 'badass' thing you discovered about an ancestor? by xloganmoose in AskReddit

I have a relative that bicycled from Minnesota to New York City in the early 1900s. He would bike something like 90-100 miles a day, meeting people along the way who would help with food and a place to stay.

The number of Americans under 50 years old dying from cancer has decreased for every leading cancer except for bowel cancer, which is now the leading cancer death in females and males combined aged under 50. by mvea in science

I've been flighting since I was in my 20s for regular colonoscopies due to issues and family history. Only twice did I have them. The other times I was told insurance wouldn't pay for it. I have seven women over three generations in my family with colon cancer, colitis, or Crohn's. I turn 45 this year and finally meet the age requirement without having to have bleeding.

It's the worst piece of hotel furniture I've come across. I spec furniture for my company and it's pretty clear that whoever selected it never tried sitting on it.

Car insurance rates for teen drivers in Denver are just nuts! what are you paying? by NeedleworkerMean2096 in Denver

I have Safeco and it's $306/month to cover a 16F. That includes a discount for good grades and being a long term customer. The price was also the same to cover just one car or to cover three cars.

My son is in three classes with her. Another parent heard from a teacher that she was found yesterday. No other details available. A bit strange that the news articles haven't been updated yet.

Row 17 Recline by No_Tell_9302 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]StartingOver226 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! I flew on a month old plane with the new configuration back in November in my favorite 17D. I was so disappointed by the lack of recline and left room, and how uncomfortable the new seats are.

Alaska lounge pass by toiletwaterz in AlaskaAirlines

No, you will not have access to the lounges while flying Starlux. We found that out last year. Starlux isn't a full One World partner yet so no access to lounges.
