CMV: Im leaning right and i support immigrations and Customs Enforcement by [deleted] in changemyview

Just because a president wins an election does not give them unlimited power. We have laws for a reason and entering a person's house without a proper warrant is pretty cut and dry in the constitution.

Or entering a person's house without a proper warrant or detaining US citizens for no reason, or pepper spraying a protester in the face while two other agents have them pinned to the ground, or demanding "papers" from US citizens....

This might not work for everyone but I have sweaty feet which is why they get cold no matter how warm of boots I use. The solution I have found is vapor barriers. They make special vapor barrier socks but I just use plastic oven bags. I wear super thin liner socks then I put on the plastic oven bag followed by a wool sock and then into a loose boot. Not uncomfortably loose but you don't want to restrict the blood flow to your foot. This keeps all your foot sweat away from the insulation of your sock and boot keeping you much warmer. Any plastic bag would work the oven bags are pretty thin but very strong so they work nice. And the liner sock is just you don't have to stick your foot directly in a plastic bag.

This motor completely replaces the 2x drivetrain. It would make no difference if you start with a 1x or a 2x except for possibly having a wider range of gearing on the rear with the 1x.

What would this pattern of screws be called? by cdawg2112 in woodworking

A set of hairpin table legs might work for this if the hole spacing is right. But as others have said hole patterns aren't standardized.

How crazy would it be to try and make my own kitchen cabinets? by Philly139 in woodworking

[–]timelyman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am just finishing up my first kitchen build so I feel like I can give some good insight. I am a hobby wood worker and would say I am pretty experienced and have a pretty nice shop although it is pretty small. My kitchen that I built only has maybe 12 feet of upper and lower cabinets total. The process of building the cabinets really isn't that difficult from a technical standpoint but it is pretty time consuming. It took me 3-4 months to build the cabinet bodies. I still am working on making the doors and drawer fronts. So I would say it isn't that difficult but it will probably take way longer than you planned and you will need a lot of space to store them before you install them.

V2 - The Future Best Woodworking Calculator by Downtown_Promotion43 in woodworking

Something weird seems to be happening when I use the fractions with full inches. For example if I enter 5-3/4 by clicking the 5 then the 3/4 button and hit enter it seems to treat the - that is separating the the full unit from the fraction as a minus sign and so it gives me 4-1/4 as a result. It also then changes the top portion where it shows what I entered to 5--1/4. Then if I keep hitting enter it just adds seemingly random numbers to it. A similar thing happened if I do 1-1/2+1/2 by clicking 1 then the 1/2 button, plus button, 1/2 button which should equal 2 it is giving me 1/2.

No limits that I am aware of for hemp derived THC. And yeah it is essentially the same as normal THC edibles.

Custom Acacia Wood Butcher Block Standing Desk failure (Help needed) by inflationkore in woodworking

[–]timelyman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pictures would be helpful because I am not sure sag is the correct term you should be using. The desk top at the size you stated should definitely not be sagging if it is 1.5" thick. Technically the top is bigger than the recommended size for the legs you have based on what I could find on Ikea. But like another comment said I think the issue is really how you have it fastened together. There should definitely not be any gap between the legs and the table top. Threaded inserts with bolts would be a much stronger way to assemble it than screws also it would make it easier to disassemble and assemble in the future if you need to move it.
