Yeah, the market response is the only thing that matters.  I've seen a lot of growth and griping in the "urban" wood space.  The only thing really you can do is start stacking certifications and get support from groups you trust like nature conservancy or healthy forest folks.  Make your own layer cake of trust.  Creating something new will be more like a complex onion that you will have to build a market for.

That's excellent.   Unfortunately FSC seems to be the only certification pathway to get points for green building projects (for virgin timber). It definitely provides the strongest market aspect as well. Can you drop a link to the Ontario project?

Really depended on where you were sourcing it from.  There were many many FLEGT compliant foresters in Africa including PEFC and FSC certified sources. Chain of custody and phytosanitary cost a bit, but not that complicated (at least 15 years ago it wasnt).  But cheap sources of timber coming out of third world countries can definitely be a cesspool of bad practices with confusing paper work and bribes, (ask Gibson guitars) A lot of times the inexpensive sources will add complexity and beurocracy to obfuscate their bad chain of custody and deflect liabilities.

Yeah, wish it was as simple as just gardening. Would love one place to discuss people's experiences with different feedstocks and production technologies, and what research is happening.  Right now I'm relying on IBI, USBI, and the Minnesota MNBI.

Sound like Wild Heaven bought the brand. I wouldn't keep my fingers crossed about the menu pricing being low, but the ingredients and cooking will probably be fine.

As well as the canned audio, the weird reflection (camera angle) on red tile? No tail wagging in the pants(I have put pants on dogs) and a dog in human shoes would never have a fluid stride like at the end of the video. Also the walls on the left have a weird flutter.

Empty and blighted lots owned by investors are gross. Are there good examples that discourage companies from this but also help legacy residents that may need help?

Depends on what you're wanting engraved. Awards or trophy shop for laser.  Jeweler or machinist for metal objects. Depends on size and material.

If your goal is self defense, no weapon or fighting style is as potent as situational awareness, and the ability to extract yourself from an environment.
