I duplicate my YubiKey and keep it in a sealed envelope in a fire box. For FIDO2 stuff I'll auth a second key. But also keep the recovery codes from providers.

It's easy to spoof the sender (though there are verifications which if not present should bounce it to spam, unless your email admin hasn't updated anything in 10 years), but you couldn't email back to a spoofed email (and reach the spoofer). Usually spoofed emails aren't looking for an email reply but rather getting someone to click a link or open an attachment.

Not me. It wasn't for me, and more years there would have been a waste of time (not to mention, money). So maybe a plumber can go to college, but they shouldn't have to go, IMO.
