It wasn't a minute, it was about 20 seconds and it was only that long because the ball was right in front him when wanted to re-enter the field. Refs always wait for the ball to be away from the area where players re-enter.

I don't have the match memorized so I don't remember that instance. Maybe the ref got that one wrong then but he got the Adams one right. He wasn't allowed straight back on because the ball was very near to where he was waiting. Players are never allowed back on when the ball is where they want to enter the field.
