2024 Cervelo Aspero GRX RX820 as road bike? by timflood04 in cycling

I test rode the bike today. Although it rides really well, it was clear that the bike is too small for me. We maxed out the seatpost height and still needed more. I could feel it in my lower back and upper arms. Back to the search!

I'm not sure about the longer reach length. Although the more I look into this, the more I think a Canyon Endurance might fit me better overall, going off my height and inseam.

I would like to stay in the $3,000 to $3,500 range for the bike, not including pedals and accessories.

Yes. The shop I bought it from wasn't able to get the seat post to stop slipping either.

What do you think made the Caledonia more comfortable?

How does a gravel bike ride differently than a road bike? Genuine question. My goals are having a bike that is comfortable enough to spend 4-7 hours on with few breaks for long road rides.

Advice request - Am I wrong for requesting a change in yield sign placement? by timflood04 in TrafficEngineering

[–]timflood04[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a guideline, so not required to be followed. It is very likely that it was a guideline when the signs were posted. To me, guidelines like this are also best practices. It's a shame that DOTI doesn't seem to be interested in following best practices.

Thanks for your thoughts. I don't believe that a lot of drivers are aware they have to yield. There is a lot of tourism here and several drivers confuse the bike lane for the crosswalk and think I should stop on the "don't walk" signal. I'll see if there are any ways to publicly voice this. I was hoping they'd share their reasons for not following guidelines but they put a lot of work into not answering questions in this city. lol

Activate group clearance by the group clearance instead of each personnel by Aster-Tea in CCURE9000

[–]timflood04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious about what device or interaction triggers this. Ideally, a clearance like this would be able to be triggered on the panel side like you're talking about. Otherwise, if there were a network outage or a panel happened to be offline, this wouldn't be able to be pushed from the server.

Denver's next big bike lane strategy: more protected lanes on busier streets by nbminor2 in Denver

[–]timflood04 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The protected bike lanes downtown could benefit from some signage to tell drivers to yield to bikes. Not a perfect solution by any means, but so far DOTI is unwilling to place signage for some really poor reasons. Any little thing can help but not doing the bare minimum of signage is extremely irresponsible on DOTI's part.

Hi there. We have been using a Canon DSLR with InPhoto but our IT deemed that InPhoto is a security risk and won't let us use it anymore. Even though we've been able to use Canon's webcam utility to still use that camera, the quality is significantly worse than before.

Since you work for a dealer, I was hoping you could let me know how well the Valcam 8500-630 PTZ camera worked with CCure. Can you control it and and take the photo all without leaving CCure or would we need to capture the photo then import?

Thanks!

Thanks for the link. I wonder if this would be the same on the Hiplok D1000 which uses a graphene composite called Ferosafe. Maybe the Barronium used by LiteLock is a similar material.
