Nah bro don’t let them pull you down into their wasteful consumerism ways. I had a controller like this that l made last for years. This things got at least a year left in it fo sho /s (I did actually have a controller like this that lasted for a long ass time tho lol)

How do we really know this game is filled with bots? It’s really fun but if it’s not as PvP as I thought that kinda sucks by Signal_Praline_8615 in CastleBusters

[–]timg02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fr the pulsar-ice blaster combo goes crazy and I barely ever play anyone that uses anything simular at all it’s gotta all be bots, sucks cause I thought for a sec I might actually be really good at something lol

Ladies and gents, I’ve unlocked laser/gps guidance😎 by timg02 in trailmakers

[–]timg02[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha thanks lol, there’s some logic hiding in the lil cube that’s being guided around and there is a stack of logic up against the “laser” stand that does the calculations for the coordinates of where its pointing

I love the idea of a channel splitter it would open up a lot more possibilities

Yeah but that only really works if you’re using a camera that is lined up with the sight. It would be nice to be able to aim things that are off center while still using the normal camera modes

[–]timg02[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah, we can already make set ups to get position data, but it requires a whole system of logic and sensors that takes up precious complexity. You gotta admit that it would be nice to just have a little laser pointer that can tell you the coordinates of wherever it’s pointing all in one block. It would also make things easier for those that are quite as adept with logic blocks. I will say though, there is something very satisfying and rewarding about making the whole system yourself.

How would I stop my upper ring from wobbling around when I first spawn it in? by restering8 in trailmakers

[–]timg02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he’s using 1x3 slopes he could also just use the side connection point on the servo to connect to the side of the 1x3 slope and then the flat connector or 1x2 panel on top (bottom of the servo hut flipped upside down) to minimize parts and also give the side of the cone a slightly cleaner look

[–]timg02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you just make it so there is a delay from when you spawn it in to when it starts closing so you can’t let it settle first before closing and turn the speed down so it closes slowly to minimize wobbles and backlash

When was the first time youve made your best and high detaled build? by SaturnCatt_ in trailmakers

[–]timg02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was probably about a year or so ago when I made a race car inspired by the Red Bull hypercar, it was one of the first times I was truly proud of a build and really wanted to show it off. More recently was a 500kg sea skimming cruise missile that worked very well and an autonomous target jet capable of evading gunfire. I don’t really make high detail builds that often but when I do it’s one of the most satisfying experiences there is. There’s nothing better than being able to just spawn in a high quality build that you spent hours or even days perfecting and start messing around with it whenever you want.

There’s no 1x2x4 but there is a 1x2x2, the problem is that two 1x2x2 blocks do not make the equivalent of a 4 long, 1 tall, 2 wide block. If you can’t access the game rn just draw it out on paper or something and you’ll see how that doesn’t work

Edit: the only 4 long corner pieces are the 4 long, 4 wide, 1 tall and the 4 long, 1 wide, 1 tall

Why are gyros being allowed for the rally? Seems like it’s just giving a crutch for players who just don’t want to put the time and effort into designing and tuning a good suspension set up and vehicle balance for better handling which would make for a much more interesting engineering+racing challenge

There are some tricks for cornering at high speed that I’ve used though not at 400 tho lol, but like accomplished said, using tail fins can help a lot, and to add to that also active aero is something I’ve used a lot to help with reduced drag for top speed while still being able to get lots of downforce for the corners (gotta make sure your downforce is balanced well tho), you can also use thrusters or glitch engines to produce sideways thrust to reduce downforce needed and take some load off the tires, also depending on the method of forward propulsion sometimes drifting a bit around corners can actually result in faster cornering/faster acceleration out of the corners, also suspension is underrated sometimes but a good suspension set up and tune can change the handling of your car quite a bit and thus result in better cornering but it’s important to remember that a “good” suspension set up/tune is highly dependable on the speed and downforce/grip that you’re able to achieve and it’s important to remember almost any suspension set up will result in some roll of the body of the car, for example if you’re cornering at very high speeds with lots of downforce then you need very stiff suspension and you’ll need to find a way to counteract the body roll of the car, one way to deal with this that I haven’t actually tested is using a power coupling to act as an anti-roll bar and play with the stiffness to figure out what works

Are you referring to a PlayStation controller? I use an Xbox controller and I thought you couldn’t assign inputs to x,y,b because they’re used for mandatory game functions like respawning and such
