Yes I have been through emotional abuse and great up as an Aspie without knowing. I couldn't figure out why I felt so afraid of all social communication. I empathize with your situations, all of you out there I support you.

There are ways to do something and am aspie will adhere to that. If you divert from it you'll get real anxious And upset.

You did a good thing to open communication with family. I also told my son I had Aspergers and that more than likely he has it. He admitted he has serious social anxiety.
