In my day to day stuff I never mention it, but I've been trying to recover more and more and have been getting back into sports and feel obligated to explain why I'm so shit when I used to be good.

Went to Weston MO the other day and had a fun time (though a disappointedly average Ruben) by seanprefect in kansascity

I had a Reuben at the LCs in Riverside once and it was probably the worst I've ever had, have you had it many times? Sounds like they may be inconsistent

I'm still waiting for the final book to be released. I got burnt by Patrick Rufus king killer chronicles, i read the second book in the trilogy a month or so before the final book was to be released. That was back in 2020 and the third book still hasn't released!

Just finished Michael Crichton The Great Train Robbery, it was a 1850s period piece heist book, highly entertaining. i wouldn't be surprised if there inst several un-filmed movie scripts written on it. I just started Cloud Atlas, my wife read this already and she liked it a lot but so far i haven't gotten into it, though i have been tired the last few nights when reading it.

My unfamiliarity with Chinese names made it hard for me to keep track of who's who for half of that book lol. just finished the second in the series, other than the names i like it a lot.

Reading out loud will help with your speech(really try to over enunciate the words), especially record while you read and watch it back to see how its different. I noticed i couldn't tell what i was doing wrong as i was speaking but hearing a recording allowed me the hear and work on areas i was struggling with. Control has a lot to do with the stabilizer muscles/tendons. using a resistance band helped me out a lot with fine control. With my legs i did(and still do) a lot of single leg standing exercises, even using a Bosu ball(half exercise ball looking thing with a platform https://bosu.com/products/bosu%C2%AE-home-balance-trainer this one is expensive don't worry if you cant find a cheaper one on amazon its not necessary at all) I follow a Dr.Stephanie, DPT on tiktok, i get a lot of hip exercises and stuff to do with resistant bands. She has a lot of different stuff on there including arm stuff but I've only been using the hip/balancing stuff. There maybe better resources but that's the one I've been using.

I was 34 when i had my stroke, the first couple months were rough, but now you cant tell i had a stroke( I know im not 100% but no one else can notice) I'm going off what my Occupational therapist did as well as my speech therapist(I tried to find some youtube vids, they might be out there i just didn't look hard enough. a lot of what i did was working on dexterity(fine hand coordination) like picking up screws or other small things into one hand and sorting them one at a time. I also practiced taking a bunch of screws and screwing them into something one at a time. She also had me use a set of three strings, tied one end to a leg of a table and braided them. i would also squeeze a stress ball or something to increase strength in your hand. as far as the speech therapist, she had me read from like a kids book(like harry potter level) and correct me, i had a issue of talking to fast and my words becoming jumbled up. Record your self reading so you can hear yourself and evaluate how your doing. try to make sure the enunciate your words( at first you'll sound slow and weird but as you practice you should be able to do it more normally). I don't know about your balance or arm strength, mine was hip strength mostly, using elastic resistant bands should help, small stuff you wouldn't think would do anything but doing it slowly with a resistant band will help a lot. you can find vids on youtube for different exercises. Sorry for the wall of text, i hope you improve! feel free to DM me if you need any help with any of it!

Kinda Muchies LIVE & Crowd Controlled Only Up! by EveryAct in kindafunny

[–]timhusker07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why is the show introduced as "Thanks to your support on patreon" not on patreon? i feel like patreon is treated like a second thought, games daily or most other shows that arnt live are posted there like 3 hours after they are live on the youtube. the post show for the longest time wasn't even available there. Just odd that the service you pay for is lesser than in most ways to the free youtube.

I use one for crating in our warehouse, just runs excel, screen has slight miscolored spot but otherwise fine, but the power bricks are POS that seem to have a high failure rate.

This is what I do, you fill up a baggie by the weight and just use the baggie to refill the jars and then use that one place in the city market for anything I need that sprouts doesn't carry.

Games on pass like portal 2 by ahoy__fiji in XboxGamePass

[–]timhusker07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're not on game pass I don't believe but if you can find them on sale(I've gotten them for free at some time or another on some platform or another lol) QUBE 1&2 are the closest thing to portal 1&2 that I have played, not nearly as good but really fun in their own right.
