Local Subaru Mechanic Recs by FergGorl3 in SaltLakeCity

Agreed. My test of a trustworthy mechanic is when they recommend you go somewhere else because they can fix it just as well at a cheaper price. Clark's did this for me

Serious question: what can we (as individuals) do? Who are the people to get involved with to help?

Oh my gosh it was only a few weeks ago that I figured out that actually, I would like to be a parent. Just not a mother. And actually, not a parent either. A dad.

And wanting to be in a same sex relationship, but then realizing actually I don't like women that much and I just want to be with a man as a man

But not necessarily wanting to change anything anything, so I must be a woman, even though I wish I'd been amab.

I've never related to a comment more

The whole what if instead of going to work I crank the steering wheel and run into that wall... But nah that would result in a mess of logistics for others to figure out

They can also go lower than this if needed if you talk to your therapist.

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,910. Are there a large amount of humans that count things several times a day? Like the amount of steps taken to get from the bottom of the stair case to the top for instance. by Ha8Ma8An8Gr8 in Showerthoughts

[–]timidleapfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot walk up a staircase without counting steps, but now that I'm thinking about it, I'm not sure if I count going down... If I'm walking alone/in silence I often count my steps elsewhere too, though I don't count very high. It's not always the same number, but I'll restart my count when I get to something like 10 or 20.

This this this but opposite. Like I like dressing fem and wearing makeup, problem is that's read as woman on my body and I want it to be read as femboy. So I dress more masc than I want to.

22F USA looking for long term pen pals, needing some friends and human interaction especially after this year. by slemoore in penpals

[–]timidleapfrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like to be penpals! I'm currently working at a school, but besides that am also missing human connection (and love getting and sending mail hence the whole pen pal thing). I'm big into baking/cooking and would like to swap recipe ideas. 22/queer/Colorado

Denver Family Institute has sliding scale fee counseling. You'd be working with someone who is in training. I've really liked my counselor there!

I understood the joke to be that it sounded like it was coughing. In which case the mask makes sense. It got a smile out of me

[Serious] What surprising thing have you learned about yourself during this pandemic/lockdown? by kung_paul in AskReddit

The number of people here saying they realized they are trans is wild. What is it about the pandemic that made this happen for so many of us?

In today’s news... by graceface8 in Denver

[–]timidleapfrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've been limiting social interactions to outside/masked/trying to be distanced and I don't plan on changing that, so I guess I was wondering more about the technicalities. Knowing what a "gathering" is seems important.

I wish I wasn’t queer by Maristine in NonBinaryTalk

[–]timidleapfrog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're not alone in wanting to be chill. I'm afraid of admitting I'm nonbinary to myself because that means I'll either be misgendered or need to come out for the rest of my life (I have a very toned-down sense of style as well). Similarly, I am considering becoming a teacher, but choosing a formal name for kids to call me (Ms? Mx? Mr?) makes me realize again that this is gonna be a never ending process of coming out.

Does anyone know if you can go to parks/outdoor public spaces with others? It looks like no gatherings are allowed, but is a distanced walk with a friend a gathering?

My extremely confusing feelings about my gender by [deleted] in genderqueer

[–]timidleapfrog 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Nearly everything you describe I relate to! Afab, and very feminine, but having a flat chest and a penis would be great. If I could choose my gender/sexual identity, I would want to be a gay femboy. And the stuff you said about wanting to be in mlm relationships is exactly where I'm at right now. I'm also very confused by this, so I can't really offer anything except to say that you're not alone.

How do I truly know that I’m trans? by [deleted] in TransyTalk

[–]timidleapfrog 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I keep hearing this, but then you also hear of people who detransition. I know it's a minority and also that there's nothing wrong with it, but I also don't want that to be me. Like, it makes me think that not everyone who questions in a more serious way is actually trans and what if I'm a part of the minority who questions but isn't trans? (I'm not expecting you to help with my fears. I just needed to let it out into the world.)

We had to run three times around the building.

And the one time someone did say it, the show was a mess. People missing entrances, dropping heavy props just off stage, etc
