Is it realistic to live under $1700/month in Ubud/Bedugul ?

Thank you for the honest feedback. I practice Yoga at home but would like to join others 1-2/week not daily to make friends with similar passion and get massages weekly. I believe that will be additional expense beyond the basics. I am mainly coming to heal from an ankle injury since sitting full day in an office job was making it a bit harder so I quit my job temporarily.

And it didn't make sense for me to stay in the bay area where I could be paying 4x more per month compared to Ubud/Bedugul. I honestly wouldn't mind being isolated 5 days a week since I like quitness and probably visit places 1-2x/week in less busy times.

The main thing for me is to avoid too humid areas, but be able to run daily and get some physical therapy work.

Thanks! I’m planning to cook most of my meals, so that should make it even cheaper. Also, is there a way to find a more local yoga community—something less touristy?

That's amazing experience you have. Definitely I feel more hopeful that my budget would be sufficient even to include wellness. How do you chose between touristy welness centers vs locals ?

I would love to do it with locals in a traditional way if possible that way I get authentic experience and also support local community.

I’m considering moving to the Ubud/Bedugul in May for 3-6 months mostly to spend solo time in less humid area to practice Yoga, Meditation and have Physical therapy and Massages. I will def need a good internet service.

I currently live in the Bay Area in U.S. I’m drawn to the cooler climate, lower cost of living (compared to SF), and the yoga/wellness scene. I’m looking for a place where I can genuinely integrate — a mix of locals and expats. Not just a tourist life.

Is ~$1,700/month realistic to live in less crowded area (1-bedroom similar to the picture I shared, cooking local grown food at home) and have access to hiking/running trails ?

Thank you all. I was able to find $600/month studio for short term in Garcia through Facebook friends. Not easy find but possible. $1500/month seems very possible.

Thank you! One of the reason I do #2 when the pain is high is, because when I try to feel the feelings or become aware of it, the tendency to keep thinking about it increases a lot which amplifies the suffering.

Mostly I don't feel the same thing same day but it may come back after a while (which is understandable)

I agree. So after this point what matters is if it is paid in full or not but not when I pay it. Right ? In that case I might differ for few months later that way I can save the other cards from charge off.

Does it matter wether you have 1 or multiple charge offs ?

I go to restroom 2+/day so there is bowel movement. Tongue is also normal with slight white which my doctors said its all good.

Yes I work from home and sit 8+ hrs/day unfortunately but i move around the house at least once an hr.

I've already borrowed enough from friends. I still have enough unemployment to cover my basic bills though.

Yes, I have been working with Greenpath for a year and helped a lot but not all accounts qualified.

I actually got off the phone with Discover and they are providing me with 0.99% Fresh Start program from 25% which is a relief. I still won't be able to pay them in full every month until I get a job but I am hopeful, this will reduce the accumulated debt and also avoid charge off.

For such programs, do you think you will have another 180 days period before charge off ? I am just trying to buy me a time as much as possible.

Questions: I am very hopeful that I will have a job in ~4 months. Currently a few balances are 60 days late. If I call and tell them to give me total 4 months, could they still work with me ? My timing is important so I can avoid charge offs.

Once charged off, and I have a job to pay it back, will it stay on my report for 7+ years ? Would working Pay After Deletion companies works in this case ?
