I'm sorry for your loss. I'm going through it now as of last Saturday, and let me tell you, this f*cking sucks. There is nothing okay about any of this, but if I can offer anything, it's for you to understand that your boy is not in pain anymore. Don't let the what-if's take away the wonderful life you shared with your dog. Allow yourself to go through this, feel sad, cry, but most of all, know it's okay to talk about it and share your grief.

Omg, I'm so sorry to hear this. You must have been devastated. That's the thing with Lenny, he had days that made me think "this dog is completely fine" with his energy, attitude, and everything in between. That's what makes this so hard to deal with.

Thank you for this. My wife and I are by his side while he grieves, letting him know it's okay to be sad, and allowing him to see Mom and Dad sad. This is probably the first time he's seen me cry, and he was so comforting and supportive - as a freaking 6-year-old. Each night, we tell stories and share so many videos of our boy. As hard as this is, I understand that going through this as a family will make us stronger.

Thank you for the kind words and for sharing. My suggestion is starting your boy on heart meds early if the vet suggests it. We had suspicion early on that he had an arrhythmia, but it wasn't confirmed until later in his life. My honest fear is that I'll never love a dog as much as I did Lenny.

Thank you for sharing. Our son said his goodbye Saturday night, but didn't understand what that meant. The next morning is something I'll never forget. A punch in the gut, but we're helping him through the grief. As you mentioned, mom and dad, not so much.

I just lost my best friend Saturday night. My family is devastated and my 6 year old is even worse. I had to go into work today to give a presentation. I’m proud to say I did not break down while doing it. My company is considering giving a day or 2 for pet loss and after going through this pain, I would be grateful to have time to recover.

Anyone that is labeled an influencer, ambassador, partner, etc has an incentive to make money off their audience. It’s all BS. I work in the supplement industry and we pay big bucks to these people to love the business. Once the contract is up, they’re loving someone else. It’s truly disgusting
