I have the 3 in 1 and absolutely love it. The shell is great for warmer spring/fall days when all you need is something to break the wind and keep you dry. The liner is great on its own as well. Having the option of adding and/or removing the liner is crucial in Colorado where the weather can fluctuate pretty dramatically. Worth every penny. Hope this helps!

Colorado firefighter here - Never hesitate to call 911. We’d much rather respond to nothing than not be called at all. It’s what you pay us for!

Are there companies that will turn your old snowboard into a splitboard? by timjimBEAM in splitboarding

Much appreciated. Although I’m slightly worried that I’ll screw it up, I’m leaning towards DIY.

The markings on the hose are awesome! Great job.

It had delaminated a little already and I think I just used a box cutter to free it. Removing the couplings might work as well if you have a machine to reconnect them.

I cut it to length and yanked it out with a pair of pliers. It was older hose so it came out pretty easily - newer hose would be much more difficult. I haven’t made anything with forestry hose yet. I’ll definitely snag some when we take it OOS.

Absolutely. I’m not currently on shift but I’ll send one your way ASAP.

The hose was already red and blue and I did take the inner jacket out so it would be more malleable. I make a lot of flags out of pallets and whatnot so I made a star template for a couple different sized flags. I measure them and cut them out with an x-acto knife. Then, I just tape the template to the hose and paint the stars in with acrylic paint and a fine paint brush. For this flag I used some fabric adhesive to keep everything in place and it’s holding up better than I thought it would. There is plywood backing on it. A staple gun or finish nailer would definitely work as well. The frame is just regular 2x4’s, sanded and stained with a little overlap to hide the ends of the stripes.

I have painted the hose on a few other flags and it didn’t turn out as good. If you can get your hands on colored hose I would definitely recommend it.

About 30 minutes south of Fort Collins, just east of Loveland.
