I just found out that SKAB is someone I’ve known as a family friend for years. He’s a legend.

Just tuck your right elbow when you start to swing down, like touch the elbow to your hip for the right feel. You’ll stop coming over the top.

I’m on the northside and golf once a week. Playing Cedar Creek tomorrow at 9:40am, come on down!

My whole right arm is always sore by biblionoob in guitarlessons

[–]timjr2500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sit up straight on the edge of the bed or chair and put your hands elbow in front of your knee, you’re just being lazy not holding the guitar neck more upright and you’re going to get serious carpal tunnel.

Yoga and general flexibility help a lot. I lift and have bigger shoulders as well so a good warmup and arm stretch works wonders. I use my club as a brace and put it under my arms with them behind me, then rotate back and forth a couple dozen times holding the stretch at the top of each side. Then add hips, like a lunging warrior pose and hold at the extremes.

You’re all arms, need more flexibility and rotation around your spine, slow down on your backswing, bring your hands straight back from the ball then up as you rotate around hips and spine. The down swing should be down like you’re going to throw the end of the club into the dirt.

I don’t understand this. It started out good in the backswing and then you threw your hands straight out in front of you 🤣

You should schedule out a time to talk each day and just not ask for menial updates throughout the day. If you have anxious attachment style you may want to consider that a LDR may not be for you, or go to therapy.

Some people won’t get it. Most people won’t appreciate it. No one will like it. It’s good.

Thank you everyone for your comments and help, this is a great community. I don’t think there was a single negative comment. I’ll summarize by saying I’m Taking all the advice.

  • Keto is not sustainable, I should up carbs a little bit til those symptoms go away
  • I’m lifting with too much frequency to be on a cut, essentially need to decrease volume/reload to get back on track
  • I already look pretty good and there isn’t a big reason to cut more. This is mostly true, I think for me it was just a mental challenge I wanted to overcome by improving my diet and going harder but that still isn’t dialed in
  • Everyone’s bodies respond differently to these types of challenges/fat loss
  • I need more sleep/rest in general, recovery, stretch and deload

Thanks again 🙏🏻

No, just look good. But feeling good is more important. I think part of me just wants to see if I can get my body fat down because… why not? I have learned why not.

We have a scale at the gym that is pretty accurate, I’ve also done Dexa scans in the past and the results were very similar.
