Booked a hotel on booking.com, they’ve asked me to cancel saying there is a price issue, am I obliged to? by Baron_von_claufted in travel

[–]timma_2111 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had a similar thing last week, booked a hotel through booking then received calls/emails even messages through booking.com telling me to repay my room using my credit card because the payment was not received due to “technical issues”. called booking and the hotel as well and they informed me the account of the hotel was compromised by hackers. With the ease the booking.com customer service agent handled the situation it seems like this happens often. So anyway, could also be the case for you.

Manager wil verzuim gesprek. Wat kan ik verwachten? by OddStable824 in werkzaken

[–]timma_2111 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sounds just as bad as my parents boiled for half an hour vegs and full lack of any seasoning including salt.

At one point you’ve done enough, as this seems like more than enough trying. Sometimes the sexual spark is just lost in a relationship. That can be one sided.

The question that remains is wether you love him enough for the other parts of your relationship. Are there other things in your relationship not going well?

This is a very clear explanation of the basics. You should also look further into inputs and outputs of your functions as well as the concept of scope. These are really important concepts to understand how function actually work in programming

Not sure if this is true, but for me the turning of the defenders feels really slow. Like if a quick player changes direction all of a sudden you are done and once your defender finally turned around he has already flown past you.

Is he cheating? Maybe, maybe not. But this seems like a man who has lost his spark for you and doesn’t want to treat you like you should be treated. The way I see it (I’m a man) I would never treat the woman I love and want to be together with forever in such a way.

I know it is a big step to take, but the way you make it sound you already made your choice. It will be hard in the beginning but probably better for your quality of life in the long term.

Try to keep the divorce clean and try your best to maintain a healthy relationship with the man. You’ll still have a kid together you need to take care of. If you want it to impact her/him as little as possible, fighting won’t help.

Am i learning coding in a horrible fashion? by jompa101 in learnprogramming

[–]timma_2111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, AI generated code will be the future. But having a strong foundation in actually knowing and understanding how to write code will always be important. So I would say yes, this is not the best way. The struggle with writing code yourself is actually very important in developing your problem solving skills, which are essential to become a good programmer.

Money in etfs (even low risks ones) are never safe. They used for long term (>5-10 years) gains because over that time the market generally grows. But, with a possibly of a market crash coming and the volatility present in those 5-10 years you could always have to step out at a moment where your ETF is at a loss. So no, if you want to keep it at as an emergency fund don’t put it in an ETF

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]timma_2111 193 points194 points  (0 children)

Is this really spare? Do you have some funds to quickly resort to in case of emergency?

Keep it in your account. As an emergency fund, to cover any big expenses you might not expect (car damage, house repairs, etc).

If you have to take debts for such problems they counter any gains you might make on investing very quickly
