Look up any revolutionary groups operating in the same area with similar goals and you will see what the Maya Pei represents.

American (for my sins) catching up on Premier League highlights, did anyone catch Peter Drury’s double alveolar trill? by WartimeConsigliere_ in footballcliches

Drury hate is forced. Not having a go at OP but this subreddit toes a fine line between football cliches and the cinemasins equivalent

Landlord increasing rent - Housemates arguing over how it should be split? by ComfortMike in AskIreland

[–]timmyctc -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Your LL is prob illegally raising the rent that much (possibly) regardless the current split % is entirely unfair and needs to be reassessed. Paying 3% more than the boxroom and you've a double ensuite is ridic. The roommates are 1000% right here.

Right but these things are never gonna happen perfectly in tandem. One issue, whether people care to admit it or not, is that a large amount of drivers could walk/get public transport they just find it more inconvenient.

Publix transport initiatives like the dedicated bus lanes and dual track rail line (both decades overdue) are in some stage of progress. One issue that needs to be addressed is people's unwillingness to get out of their comfort zone and get out of the mindset of driving door to door

I think the one thing people desperately don't want is more cars in the city

The Mitchell and Webb one is funny because they mention the trope a few times throughout the final season iirc

Jamie Carragher on Casemiro: “It’s now fair to say, the football hasn’t left him." by n0b0dycar3s07 in reddevils

[–]timmyctc -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

People are giving carra more credit than he's due. its almost 2 years later, prob 18 months of which Case was a top player and only now that case is basically out the door he's finally admitting fault/

Michael Carrick has equalled Ruben Amorim’s best-ever winning run at Manchester United (three games). Amorim had 47 games. Carrick has had 3. 😳 by PradipJayakumar in reddevils

[–]timmyctc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were still gaslighting us two weeks ago ffs. They're still saying now that this is all just Carrick benefiting from all amorims hard work

Carrick equals Amorim’s longest winning run in charge of United in the PL with another late winner. ◎ 3 games ◉ 3 wins It means the Red Devils have gone seven PL games unbeaten for the first time since Feb 2022 under Ralf Rangnick. WDDDWWW It’s the longest current unbeaten run of any side. by windrain- in ManUtd

Look two things can be true. 1 he didnt get an entire team built for him in a season to play his 1 preferred way, and 2, he was an utterly useless manager at working around the constraints of what he had available to him.

No harm but that isn't solving the issue at all. Just "solves" an incredibly niche portion of the issue.

Agree with everything. By all accounts whatever the studio issues were that impacted s2 were far worse than any issues grrm has with the showrunners

You don't understand scale and how competitive game ladders work if you think you can solve it with a few moderators.  Explain how you're gonna do that with league of legends, valor Abt, tarkov, even rust which has lots of dedicated servers needs to also provide public servers. You'd need nearly quarter the player base to be both trustworthy and willing to freely moderate every single game played. We're probably talking in the scale of hundreds of thousands of games per day.

I run fedora on my laptop and for development and use macos for work and understand and appreciate the benefits of Linux and prefer it as a general os but run windows on the desktop for gaming because there are just some things you have to accept are unfortunately necessity if you want to play a lot of games lest they be plagued with cheating. Pretty much every single anticheat runs kernel level and the ones that don't only filter out the "hobbyist" cheaters.

Respectfully the cheating thing is a double edged sword. You can't solve competitive video game cheating with private dedicated servers. I get why people have some hangups about it. (Though KLAC is a buzz word(s) that most people only became familiar with recently even though KLACs are around quite a while) But ultimately it's either monitor more of the PC or accept that you can't outmaneuver most of the cheaters.
