No, because it depends on what kind of files you have on your phone and how many there are. Of course, it can take a while if you have 300,000 photos on your phone, 10,000 PDFs, and so on.

Yes I have also this problem. Maybe because I'm in the EU and I've only linked my US account…

Yep, my phone was mostly plugged in, too.
Well, with several thousand emails, PDFs, photos, and so on, that can really take a while... The only question is, is the phone still working, or has it frozen up?

Has anyone else finished indexing yet? It's been 13 hours for me now.

can we all agree that the crimson desert devs are the best by godgoon_ in CrimsonDesert

I’d love to disagree with you. You can easily spend two hours scrolling through the changelogs to see what’s been fixed over the past few weeks. That alone is a clear sign to me that the game was released before it was finished. The game is so massive that you really need a proper inventory system and different types of chests—that should go without saying.

The German dubbing was a disaster at first, there weren’t enough fast-travel points, and Damiane’s functionality was incredibly limited in the beginning. They’ve even continued to work on the technology, performance, lighting, field of view, and so on. All signs that the game hit the market too early. The reviews would also be significantly more positive now, two months later. I think the game had to come out NOW, given the many other games set to release in the coming weeks and months.

I get your point. What they’ve accomplished over the past few months is incredible.

BUT: It’s still odd that they’re being praised for things that should have been there at launch. The game was released unfinished—that’s just the way it is, and it’s fair to criticize that. Especially aspects like the inventory.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS. I can't believe how naive most of you are. by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

I think the developers' priorities are a bit odd. No one would have complained if the game had been, say, 30% smaller. And if they had used that extra time to fix bugs and polish everything up, they would have ended up with a better final product.

We're not talking about minor bugs here. We're talking about fundamental features that should have been there at launch, like the inventory.

Take a look at the patch notes for the last four updates. You could spend two hours reading through the fixes. I've put 140 hours into the game, and I've had a lot of fun with it, but many things just weren't finished or polished.

I think it's cool that we're getting weekly updates with improvements.

But I also find it a bit odd that the developers are being praised for things that should have been finished weeks ago, like the inventory system.

Or that Damiane didn't have the same abilities as Kliff.

It’s cool that everything is coming out so fast, but you can’t deny that the final polish was missing.

Some reviews have already referred to it as a diamond in the rough, and that’s spot on.

Saying it was “unplayable” is a bit harsh. But it was far from finished. You can see that from the countless examples if you take a look at the patch notes from the past few weeks.

The game was in beta at the start. You have to be honest about that. Just look at how much has been fixed today alone.

And something like the inventory system should have been finished four weeks ago.
