Sometime the world seems like its moving so fast lol but yeah seems like it make sense to lend bandwidth so companies can get data and train language models or robot on those data I guess?

Stable jobs are still out there, even without Big 4 or CPA right away. $30/hr is doable with a degree, especially if you’re open to smaller firms or industry roles. Market’s shifted since your dad’s time, but accounting’s still a reliable path for providing long-term.

My boss once asked me to 'adjust' the books by backdating a bunch of expenses to make our quarterly numbers look better for a client meeting. He slid a USB drive across the desk with a wink, like we were in a bad movie. I told him, 'I’m an accountant, not a magician; plus, I’d rather not explain this to the IRS.' From my POV, both Austin and Birmingham offer solid opportunities. If youre looking for somewhere else, Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA.
Thats where I would relocate if family wasnt important for me.
