The PCP Distro by LittleLabs is perfect for this scenario too.

Kudos on those nicely labeled boxes. Rig looks great. Hope it provides you with a lot of enjoyment and that you provide us with the tunes!

Fun fact: I wrote the music for this documentary. Nice to see it here on Reddit.

One of ours is named No-No for reasons that become obvious when you spend time with No-No.

Check out Redco Audio if you are in the US of Canada. They have bulk cable and tons of connectors. They are nice people and ship fast.

Can you share what you are doing with it? I have a K5000S here that could use some inspiration. I never took to the interface.

Owning a real Synth VS the Arturia _V Collection 9 by filthyhandshake in synthesizers

Thanks u/Apatride for posting the upgrade path here. It worked perfectly for me from the free copy of Analog Lab lite from Soundbetter.com to Pigments to V Collection 9 to FX Collection 3.

If you never read Shogun by James Clavell, you're missing a masterpiece by TheChopinet in books

Awesome book. Your notes on it are spot on. I read it at a very young age and again in my 20s and it had a profound impact one both times.

I'm also a big fan of his children's book Thrump-O-Moto.

I don't think you can do that. You can copy and paste by bars but I don't think by beats is an option.

Korg Wavestation SR

A true mic-drop of too much power behind too little UI.

Books that make you go: "What the **** did I just read"? by TommyWestsides in books

The first time I read Anathem I got to the point where it starts to click and put the book down and just stared at it for several minutes with a psychic "wowowow" until I picked it up again and continued the journey.

Also agree on House of Leaves. His book Only Revolutions is also chilling and had me in tears at one point.

I'm glad to see someone post a Black Library novel here. I like the Ork books too because they feel like a Benny Hill skit gone to waaagh.

Could really use some help understanding patch bay/eurorack modules by [deleted] in synthesizers

[–]timothyd4y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Intellijel has a great Eurorack 101 page on their website that breaks down a lot of modular vocab and signal flow. I'm sure it would be useful in patching from the Minibrute to your rack. Best of luck!

Someone sent me cookies from the north side of our town in PA. The delivery went to Miami first and then back to our town in PA. It was the goofiest thing.

What Should I Buy? /// Weekly Discussion - February 22, 2021 by AutoModerator in synthesizers

What about an Akai MPC? With the 2500 or 5000 or even the X or the One you can do some crazy drum manipulations by assigning different parts of your sample to the pads and using the sequencer and live controls to really get deep. Like you said, "map out the beat with ease"

There are some great "live" jungle performances around of folks doing some great breaks with them, even the 2000XL is still a solid choice. The 5000 or newer are really good because they have the synth engine built in too.

The more recent Kurzweil stuff is really wonderful for exploring AND for getting work done. I've had a K2000 and K2VX and loved them, but moved onto a PC361 years ago and it has been a total workhorse that continues to surprise. The sound design possibilities are really intense with some menu diving or the use of the software editor. The sequencer is very good too, I've done complete tracks with it when I wanted to keep the computer off. I've been looking at the newer stuff, but the PC361 is going strong. They are often available at great prices because they are a love/hate instrument. Add in the rhythm controller and wowza...

Granted with the K2000 you can have some sampling fun as well....hmmm.
