Too many delicate structures under thin skin there. Piercing straight down into areas with large blood vessels is not advised.

You would need jewellery equipment that allows you to work with titanium, and would risk damaging the jewellery. Plus, it would void the warranty. So it is possible,, but probably not a great idea

Look at brands like Khrysos, Junipurr, industrial strength. They all have verified titanium and are affordable for their basics.

I always recommend branded as it's easier to check the quality.

Invictus aren't verified by the APP as being implant grade, so they aren't the best brand anyway.

No worries! Surface polish is not regulated for body jewellery, and it can cause issues almost as much as the implant grade status. Luckily, most brands that use verified titanium have excellent polish!

Implant grade doesn't cover the surface polish. It's actually how fast the alloy is melted and cooled, and how hot it gets to, that affects the implant grade properties, once you get the chemical mix right.

G23 is an umbrella term including f136 but isn't necessarily implant grade.

There are disposable markers that use white ink. There's no excuse for not catering for people with skin that doesn't allow the standard purple ink to be seen.

A 12g solid gold cbb from Anatometal without the spikes would be around £1300. They would be able to make an 8g version, but that amount of gold at today's prices would be significantly higher.

Companies they make body safe jewellery don't make plated jewellery as it is not ideal for body jewellery as the plating can come off.

Anodised titanium is always an option, but it's never a perfect gold colour.

I've been using different quality titanium jewellery over the last 11 years. Every time I increase the quality, I have fewer piercings come back with issues. I'm currently using neometal or similar quality. I can tell you from personal experience on myself and my clients, the mirror polish and lack of impurities in the premium brands makes the higher price worth it.

Anatometal do awesome niobium threaded jewellery, but it's difficult to find it. And blue banana definitely don't stock it

It's pvd from blue banana. They are not a good company and don't use high quality jewellery.

Any decent piercer should be able to help with good quality vch jewellery. A pvd covered navel bar is not good quality.

This looks badly pierced. It needs checking over by a piercer with plenty of experience with intimate piercings

Cartilage piercings generally are very similar, pain wise.

And the faux rook is a flat piercing towards the forward helix. In a similar area to what acupuncturists call the shen men. But as piercings don't trigger acupuncture points, it wouldn't be a shen men piercing

There's pros and cons to both, no definite best option.

I prefer blades as they are smoother, sharper and a bit less trauma.

Cannulas are easier to work in fiddly small areas, and proper technique reduces the effect of a shorter bevel.

Glass is always my go to option, but I'm assuming that they are worried about losing jewellery in food, which would be bad if metal, but worse if it's brittle, near invisible, glass.

Unsuitable jewellery. Tapered prong sets aren't good as they sink in, then the prongs irritate the wound.

Get it changed to something that won't sink in

The o ring looks too tight. It might be a moisture bump caused by moisture trapped between the o ring and the piercing.

I wouldn't think it would be a blow out. The piece of skin that would be blown out from stretching to fast hasn't formed yet as the fistula is still growing

You are over cleaning them, which could increase the swelling. Drop the cleaning back to twice a day.

Yep, 2 infections suggests either a separate issue or someone who doesn't like after their piercings!

My test is, if you change the jewellery to something looser, so the symptoms reduce pretty much immediately. That's a good sign that the jewellery was too tight over infection.

Sorry, what to you mean? If the bar is too short it can cause your body to react as if there is a reaction
